Nothing here!

You can tell they've been working on this for over a decade

Immaculate. Even has PS controller support!

I was skeptical, but it turns out that taking the roguelike formula to its logical extreme with actual gambling is a fantastic idea. I haven't had this much fun with poker in a long time. I'd have played more but I may as well wait for the actual release instead of playing an incomplete version.

Edit: I ended up playing more and beat the demo after a bit under 7 hours of playtime. So, so fun.

Another fantastic monochrome game, it plays like something of a cross between an old-school dungeon crawler and interactive fiction. Neat concept, beautiful art direction, and a good sense of humor make for an all-around excellent package.

Honestly this is better just experienced yourself, I didn't really know what to expect going in other than fishing and some kind of horror element. Nice casual fishing mechanics with some unexpected twists.

I didn't know what to expect going into this but I saw a couple people mention it so I figured I'd try it. I think any attempt of mine to explain it or why it's interesting wouldn't be able to do it justice. It is a bit confusing at first, and there's one puzzle that has only a really subtle visual cue. Ideally there'll be some sort of tweak to fix that, because it's really unclear and, since I had to get a hint from the steam forums, it seems it's a common sticking point. I'm not really bothered by the lack of tutorialization, but I think it's more beneficial in a demo; in a full game it can make sense thematically, but I felt like the demo wasted my time a bit.

Solid, stylish metroidvania. A little on the easy side and it has no difficulty options, hopefully the final build will but it's not a big deal.

I actually got stuck during this and couldn't figure out what to do next, but that leaves more to experience in the full release - other than that it was great, with a good premise that seems well-executed. If the place I got stuck on hasn't changed it's not really a big deal, guides should alleviate that problem pretty quickly for those that have it (although ideally they won't be needed)

This one ended up surprising me most in terms of quality, gameplay is unique and the premise is creative. Demo was a bit of a slow burner for me but it kept improving until the end. Interested in seeing where it goes from here.

Great atmosphere and actually justifies its survival/craft aspects, even if that's still not something I enjoy.

Charming art, I didn't have a great time playing through the demo but I think it wouldn't take a ton to make it play nicely. Only supports Xbox controllers, combat feels a bit stiff and honestly just sucks before you get the stick, the protagonist's dialog is annoying and tedious, menus are slow, and movement is a bit small given stage size. It also has moments, particularly in the animated cutscenes, where the animation feels more like Steven Universe or Gravity falls than the stated influences and it detracted from the vibe for me. All that said, the issues are all pretty small and easily solved or don't matter too much. Definitely a title to keep an eye on, with a bit more polish this will be a gem.

I wish the aesthetic was a bit grittier and generally more punk, and unfortunately I don't have the dexterity to really master these types of games, but I like what's here more than I expected. Skating feels smooth and has a lot of depth, which is only increased with all the powerups available, even without metaprogression being present in the demo. Not that you need it; even in its base state, it plays well.

A more peaceful, fractally take on Shadow of the Colossus, the demo is promising but quite short (finished with the only achievement in under half an hour). If you're a SotC fan keep an eye on this title.

Has soul and it's really cool to see games inspired by African culture - in this case Bantu. I'd love to see more in the future - Africa as a whole is super underrepresented in the gaming space.
Demo playtime: unknown - see below

Honestly I'd only have have good things to say if I didn't run into a bug that prevented me from finishing it or progressing at all and persisted after restarting the program, reinstalling, and finally installing from itch.io instead. I ended up seeing the last parts that I missed on the dev's stream though, and I submitted feedback so hopefully they'll be able to find and address the glitch.

Intriguing looking PSX-style horror title. Demo is kind of short but has good atmosphere and manages to toe the line of being intense but not downright gross well.

A sort of anti-ludo game/exponential growth simulator where the only mechanic is luck. On completing the game i was tied for 100th-luckiest demo player, at 61 tries.

Tbh I think watching the trailers and reading the description will give you as good of an idea of whether you'll be interest in this as actually playing the demo, it was short and felt kind of insubstantial. I'd like to see more of it

The opponent attack indicator flashes so early that it makes it harder to time dodges and parries

Indie platformer about mental health and healing. Cute presentation.

Doesn't play as good as it looks, it's interesting but doesn't feel balanced and I'm not huge on twitch shooters in the first place. If you do, though, this'll probably be a big winner for you.
Demo playtime: 1 hr (didn't finish)

It's a good metroidvania, but in such a saturated space it doesn't do enough to stand out imo. I had a good time with it but I don't really have any desire to play the full game unless it releases to rave reviews.

Fairly generic party based RPG but something about it made it hard to put down

Reminds me of late flash/early mobile gaming, which is nice and charming for a while but unfortunately it doesn't seem to have the depth to sustain that charm. I placed 350th on the demo leaderboard
Interest before/after demo: ★★☆☆☆/★★★☆☆☆

The localization has moments that read like bad machine translation and it kind of looks like a mid budget mobile game. Worth checking out reviews when it releases.

Decent metroidvania with nice art and a cool concept in theory that kinda fell flat for me in execution. Not bad by any means, but it didn't click with me and I'm not invested in Inti Creates. Give it a try if the concept appeals to you; otherwise, Ultros will be a better use of your time.
Interest before/after demo: ★★★☆☆/★★☆☆☆

Didn't click for me. The art direction is pretty neat and it plays alright I guess, but I was just left wondering "is that it?" after finishing each level.

Kind of interesting but too railroaded; it shows you how mechanics work with minimal input from the player; you have to advance videos until another character points out what's going on, for example, and when you find an answer to the current question the game makes it super obvious, ruining the flow and immersion of investigation. With a better tutorial/mechanics introduction, though, it would be pretty worth checking out.

It's a hybrid SRPG/roguelike deckbuilder. Unfortunately, it doesn't do a particularly good job of being either of those things, and is pretty generic in basically all other aspects. Played 3 levels and my ass is NOT doing more
Demo playtime: not applicable
Interest before/after demo: ★★☆☆☆/★★★☆☆

It's pretty but the English translation is barely comprehensible and the game crashed before I could enter the first level after setting up my dudes. Looks pretty and interesting enough that I'd try a later demo build when there's been time to polish and develop more; this one just isn't there.
Demo playtime: 99 min

I was interested in this after seeing it get some buzz, but it's really not for me; I hate base building and it has to be done well to not turn me off of a game; unfortunately, here, it's not. That said, it's going to have multiplayer on launch apparently and I might be willing to give it another try if someone else could do the building in coop. If you like base building and action platformer roguelikes, though, you'll probably like this. Just not for me
Demo playtime: 46 min

Not for me. Build your own white prince and play through a mediocre King's Field pastiche an in imsim.
