It's a perfect recreation of the high school experience, complete with that one friend who's really homophobic for no apparent reason that makes you look back and think "wow that guy really was a massive cunt why did I hang out with him" except everyone is homophobic including you

Where's the center, I can only see the trauma part (the gameplay is the trauma part)

I'm sorry I'm addicted to these polyclan hot men + I'm unironically invested on the main story and the events stories.
Also the artstyle? The artbook? The illustrations? Damn I want to color like the artists of this fucking game I'm so in love that I'm ashamed of it lol

STOP UPDATING IT MY COMPUTER IS ON FIRE RAHHHH

One of the best in its series. A great jumping in point due to its prequel status while simultaneously becoming even more interesting after playing the whole series. People often forget that this is technically the 6th entry in the series coming after Yakuza 5. Its deluge of side activities and incredible story make for an unforgettable experience that will probably make you cry at the end.

Detective Yu: "Alright Lila we wanna know what the FUCK the plot of this game is!"
Player: "Yeah!"
Lila: "I'm the reality that all mysteries within fiction are written to be mysteries that have no inherent answer but as a character"
Detective Yu and Player: "FUCK"

there isn't much I can say about off that hasn't already been said but uh

I'm rating this 5 stars not only because the game is cool as fuck but because playing this genuinely helped with my French. I think if you're learning another language the best thing to do is play/read/watch things that genuinely interest you (like surreal rpgmaker games or gay fanfiction. maybe even of those surreal rpgmaker games) instead of consuming bullshit edutainment. unless you like bullshit edutainment, that is.

i'm so grateful to have played it after such a long time because enduring a series of embarrassing and disappointing entries (5 and 6) over the years genuinely makes you doubt whether ace attorney was ever good to begin with, or if it has always been a terrible series, and collectively, we only have fond memories of it because we played it in middle school

THE SERIES IS GOOD, THE GOOD ENTRIES ARE GOOD, WHAT THE FUCK IS CAPCOM PROBLEM WITH MODERN ACE ATTORNEY

also being so heavily influenced by umineko is just the icing on the cake
