I had a great time with this game. I liked that the combat wasn't complicated, it matched the vibes of the rest of game. I enjoyed each character's unique personality and how their weapon forms didn't always match their human forms exactly the way you'd expect.

Excellent game! I loved the story and I liked that I never really knew where it was going to go next.

I didn't know what to expect, but I was not disappointed! No spoilers, but I had a great time with this game.

I liked the concept and the art style, but the game felt a bit too long.

Very cute game and a reasonable level of difficulty. I liked that there was no need to grind.

It was a cozy, enjoyable management game. It was just long enough and the management aspect never felt overwhelming.

2022

I was really excited about this game and heard nothing but amazing reviews, but I could not get into it. I feel like I was always confused as to where to go next and the map was too large to keep aimlessly wandering around. Also, the combat felt sluggish and I could not get the feel for it. Overall, I was very disappointed.

Very cute game, but I did struggle with some of the puzzles.

This was probably the best game I've played in years. My critiques are I wish you could sell different types of items besides just clothing and creatures and I felt like after a certain point in the game, there was no need for money. Mainly the system surrounding how money was generated and utilized could have been better.

Enjoyable mystery, but I thought the skills could have been better utilized with more interactions that depended on successful skill levels.

Excellent game. It wasn't overly difficult, just the perfect level of challenge. Solid metroidvania game.

I was underwhelmed by the remastered edition. The story is still as great as the first time I played it, and some of the graphics were better (e.g. the grass), but overall, the remastered version was very glitchy and not as smooth-running as the original.

My only experience with rogue-like games is Skul, which was much more fluid. The turn-based combat system in this game was difficult for me to figure out and so I think the charm was lost on me. Overall, I see the appeal of the game, but I just couldn't get the hang of the gameplay.

The combat and gameplay were fun and not overly complicated, but the chapters got very repetitive.
