had to put my controller down and start twerking to the school stage theme when i heard it the first time

Lackluster enemies (boring designs besides abyss and the fallen, and they have around 2 moves which is a downgrade from DMC1 where most enemies had 4-5 moves so they lack depth) and Vergil mode being extremely under baked are my only gripes with the game. Still SS ranked the game with Dante because everything else is so damn perfect. BTW don't buy the steam version of this game bc it's buggy and fucking sucks apparently so buy the switch or HD version or emulate it.

This is a really solid game that set the standard for most of the fire emblem series. Book 1 is just a remake of the first game however book 2 covers the aftermath of the first and expands on the world. You should definitely play book 1(or shadow dragon that game is probably better) since a lot of the characters are still relevant in book 2 and so you can have those "oh shit that dude that carried in like half the chapters in the first book is now a king" or "damn those 2 mercenaries that carried me in the other half of those chapters became friends and now they had a falling out" type moments. It's nothing ground breaking but it's nice to see characters you've known and used get developed a bit and feel like they fit in the world rather than being random guys that just so happen to join you. Most of the new gameplay fixes are good however mounting units are pretty unnecessary and I get that its purpose is suppose to balance the class system but it just makes indoor chapters slower. The lack of an item storage on the map like a tent also bothers me as it was in the first game but it doesn't change anything much and I guess it balances out being able to easily swap items out before a chapter begins and that is a godsend. The sprite work and animation are pretty and the aesthetic of the final boss in book 2 is absolutely spectacular. The book 2 OST is very well done, particularly the battle themes are fucking great, book 1's OST just mimics the original NES so it's whatever. Overall it's a very enjoyable game if you're into Fire Emblem and if you're especially into the older titles it's probably a must play.

I unironically fucking love it when square ear rapes me with their bosses.

the best pokemon game when I was 16

not so great controls combined with the not so great ai lead to a lot of frustrating moments and it makes gold medaling all the levels more tedious than challenging. mediocre level design and 95% of all problems in this game can be solved by furiously swiping your kirbys at it and it ends up making the game boring and tedious real fast. every world has the same fucking lay out. the game is piss easy and makes it really hard for your kirbys die in combat, they'll most likely die from getting crushed due to ai and controls. bosses are lame and boring to fight with the only exception being the final one. the food system is is ok, after you reach the cap of 10 kirbys there's no point in going after the main collectable unless you want the game to come to a screeching halt for a second just to let you know you got a useless 10000 points. the game cockblocks you right before the final world and makes you go back through EVERY level in which you haven't collected a rainbow medal which is fucking annoying and adds to the tedium. story is whatever it's a kirby game. ost is not half bad and there's some good sprite work. the pinball, shoot em up and rpg minigames go way too hard for no reason and are the best things about this game.
