idk how this mf leon can roundhouse kick so many ppl and not develop some form of scoliosis

masterpiece, deserves every award possible. this game is the ultimate evolution of fromsoftware's style and storytelling. assuming that this is the end of the souls genre from fromsoftware i can't wait for what miyazaki is cooking up next.

as a final fantasy newcomer im stunned. what an absolutely beautiful game. story kept me captivated the whole way through. cannot recommend this enough. not much to say other than this is a top 3 contender for my GOTY.

pretty solid game, love the combat. i came in expecting a pay-to-win scheme but so far i haven't spent any money. will def continue playing.

also i love sampo he's a bagchaser and a silly guy he's literally me

"The story/dialogue isn't good" maybe ur just not a fun person to be around with

I picked this game up and played the first few missions, but I'm probably not gonna play it again. Just wasn't my cup of tea. Ik the story goes crazy tho so I'm just gonna have to binge on lore explanation vids 😭

another masterpiece 💯 the ending was genuinely insane. only problem i had was the performance (lagged a lot while using hand abilities) but then again this is a switch game. will def be replaying via emulator

as a huge fan of the outlast series, this game checks all the boxes for me when it comes to design. i absolutely LOVE how unhinged this series is when it comes to gore and character design, and the outlast trials delivers. that old lady with the puppet duck is crazy scary, and i love the dialogue between herself and the puppet. hilarious even!

performance is excellent. on the high preset i manage to keep a constant vsync framerate at 1440p. no major bugs.

im very mixed on the gameplay though. the missions are just very long fetch quests, which doesn't bother me a lot since the atmosphere keeps me immersed. however what needs to be addressed is the difficulty - sometimes enemies hit you for a ton of HP, and i often find myself frustrated at an enemy's patrol path hindering my progression (most notably at the end of the 2nd trial.) this game also desperately needs a minimap. i frequently get lost and confused on where i'm supposed to go (the plain objective pointers don't help much.) the map rng is a little irritating too, and there should be an option to turn it off.

i'm also concerned about how they are going to approach single-player mode. i know that this has been advertised as a multiplayer game but seeing as the previous 2 games were single-player i'm intending to play alone. i think this game could really benefit from an offline single-player campaign that just includes the trials and storyline.

overall this is a great game in its current state but it needs a lot of improvement in difficulty and gameplay before it fully releases.

UPDATE: Endgame sucks and grinding for mats is painfully slow with the current stamina system. I was gonna knock this game down by a star but then I realized that Wriothesley exists so I'm gonna leave my rating as it is.

ORIGINAL: This game can be a lot of fun but sometimes the grind aspects of it can take it away. So far it's pretty fun but once you get near level 30 be prepared to grind for mats.

A decent follow-up to the first. It's just as fun to play as the first one but it feels just like the first Ghostrunner, apart from going outside the tower for the first time.
