okay let me get this out of the way: ttyd is one of my favorite games and i have a lot of fond childhood memories attached to it. i recently was able to play the original paper mario (i feel as though i should censor that for some reason?? anyways) and absolutely loved it, even despite some of its faults and dated aspects. i even really had fun with the origami king, setting aside some of the weak plot points and character designs.

that being said wowww i absolutely adored this game. like had i never played a single paper mario entry i'd still absolutely love it. the game play was fun, the art style was cute and simple, and the story blew me away with how well thought out it was and how much lore and character development there was. i loved how as you progressed you started realizing that this isn't just cute little bugs, but that something deeper and more sinister had occurred. they simplified the back tracking so much so it was never a chore doing any quests or going to another area for certain items/chefs.

anyways yeah i loved this game so much i'm writing this review to encourage others to play it bc i want a sequel so bad like i need to explore the fruity bug lands and beyond

my favorite part was benjamin franklin talking about milfs

but for real i wish you could skip missions after failing them a certain amount of times (yeah stealth/eavesdropping and attack but not kill enemies missions i'm looking at you)

I could not figure out how to beat the N64 game for the life of me I just went on the rides a bunch of times
