great collection. Shaking the wii-motes for grenades leaves a lot to be desired, as do most of the other control schemes. If you can get over that this is the definitive metal slug collection. Play on the ps2 version if you can.

Charming art style. However this is a rhythm game that cant even stay on its own timing. Stage 5 and 6 are literally almost impossible to beat due to this. Game would be way better if they tightened it up.

I can't say anything about A Space for the Unbound other then it's a masterclass in storytelling. One of the most compelling indie games I have played in a long time. Go in knowing nothing.

not really much to say. solid collection. some nes games have aged a bit poorly (especially mega man 1) but this collections the best current way to experience them on legitimate hardware.

I've got to admit, this games combat was tedious as hell the closer it got to the end. The final boss is an effort in hair rending frustration. Good while it lasted and i really loved the characters (and neo pronouns! ) but i was wishing it was over due to the combat hours before I was done with it.

at first this was a nice nostaglia trip to see what fire emblem grew from, but since it contains none of the qol the series has gained since then it was roooough to say the least. Id say play shadow dragon DS but ive heard even that versions not great either.

2017

i just couldnt get into this at all. ill give it some time and give it another go maybe, but i just couldnt. i was expecting more bioshock and less fallout and thats not really what this is.

honestly a bit too complicated for me to want to learn the rules. not going to give it a star rating since i dont think its fair of me to judge a game based on rules im personally not willing to learn.

bland shooter mmo through and through that tried to justify its existence by bolting more bits onto itself. At launch this was a full price game that had multiple 40 dollar expansions tacked onto it eventually over the course of two years. The shootings fun but i quickly lose interest when it does everything else so horribly.

Honestly is too big for its own good. Everything i like about Yakuza is here but I really wish it trimmed the fat a little bit.

i was really fustrated by this game, especially every time the rules changed. I kind of wish it expanded more on its original mode of gameplay and didnt keep changing how it played. It just feels like it changed it over and over again for its own sake. I really liked where the story went though, if you can make it through the honestly a little annoying act 2 i think you will enjoy what this is overall.

Marvel's Spiderman is an exemplar of what super hero video games can be, sure it takes a lot of inspiration from the Arkham Batman games, but elevates it into something that feels uniquely Spiderman. Insomniac very rarely misses for me and Marvel's Spiderman is an excellent example of that.

Pretty good gameplay, the plot loses itself so hard the second the game stops being open world.

ive decided recently that i really dont have time anymore for games that dont respect my time. I've tried to get into souls but I don't think i have it in me to also play the carbon copy ripoffs unless they do something unique that makes the game less punishing or provides a neat twist. Mortal Shells shell and harden mechanics do neither in my eyes.

One of my favorite traditional RPGs of all time. the brave and default features really add a new sense of depth to the system that wouldnt be possible otherwise. I totally get peoples gripes with the story; feeling like you are circling the drain a bit as the game comes to a close doesnt feel good, but it never bothered me as much as it bothered others. Praying for Bravely Default and Bravely Second to get ports at some point.
