20 Games I Think Everyone Should Try
There are games I love that I would tepidly recommend, then there are these games that I will endlessly recommend. Everyone should at least try these once. Possibly twice.

Jumping Flash is a treasure....have you tried Robbit mon Dieu by chance? I haven't gotten around to it yet since it's still JP only atm.
Love that you also love Kagero Deception II, always enjoy any game where one of my methods of attack is dropping shit on people's heads. One day I'll finally boot up my Steam copy of AoE4 after all that AoE2 spamming!

i love that little eclipse of technological advancement and creative freedom that let nintendo output a few actually kind of weird, artsy video games in the late n64/early gamecube era. like if somebody told me pikmin 1 was ghost-developed by a team of ex-love-de-lic devs, i'd almost believe them. happy to see the game getting more appreciation in recent years after it blew my stupid child brain away a couple decades ago
also def been meaning to check out shadow tower abyss, the first time i saw a screenshot of that game and there was just a real ass gun in the middle of some king's field ass level i knew i needed to play it

@Vee ive tried to play robbit mon dieu a few times but cant get the rom to work. im going to retry sometime.
aoe4 is solid, might be blasphemy but it's replaced 2 for me. it also has more of a documentary approach with its story mode, which is cool bc i know they were trying to be more historically accurate.

@fntm If you have a PS3 (or any Playstation past 3 iirc), there's a process where you can create a Japanese PSN account and get access to the Japanese Playstation Store. They have their own version of a 'virtual console', with like at least 200 PS1 games. They have Robbit mon Dieu, they even have Kowloon's Gate and such. A lot of good titles, so I recommend it if you wanna experience obscure PS1 games on semi-original hardware. It's not free though, each game is like 700 yen (which is like 5 dollars).
Anyway, great list, I love that you included some games that aren't typically recommended. You didn't shy away from hard games either, props for that. Pikmin is 100% the game I think everyone should play as well.
