My video game obsession didn't start until my early 20s so now I'm making up for lost time.
I love almost every kind of game, but primarily action adventures, action RPGs, turn-based tactics games, roguelike deck-builders, and anything Pokémon.

The single most addictive roguelike deck-building game I've played in years. This has a lot of charm even with its minimal design; its UI and quirky card art make this really fun to replay over and over again. With hundreds of collectibles and ways to play, this is something I know I'll be enjoying all year. My only gripe is that nauseating screen shake, but thankfully it has a setting allowing you to turn it all the way down.

I'm 25 hours in (probably would be double that if it weren't for the game's server issues) and I can easily say this is one of the most fun games I've played in years. Incredibly fun with friends, just as good with online strangers, and even worthwhile when doing solo runs.
Its PvE nature makes it less stressful than your average PvP shooter, but it's still incredibly tense when you start to up the difficulty past the Challenging tier. Great weapons, stratagems, and planet variety makes this a constant blast to play even when you're on the umpteenth "destroy all Terminid eggs" mission.
Once Arrowhead irons out all the server and matchmaking issues, this is going to pretty close to flawless. It's only February and we already have a GOTY contender on our hands.

Great soundtrack, bad game.
I played for a couple of hours and that was enough for me. Really uninteresting hero shooter that pales in comparison to the games it's aping – just go play Splatoon or Overwatch.
The cherry on top of this garbage sundae is the monetization model which is so bad; it doesn't even hide the fact that it just wants you to dump tons of money into really bad cosmetics.
