for its time, halo was revolutionary. it is the ONLY reason xbox is still around. and the gameplay still to this day feels fresh, if a bit rough around the edges. level design is sometimes too big for its own good, and the game looks very much like it's from 2001. still, an insanely important game.

its hard to describe how important this game is to the advancement of the gaming industry, let alone the first person shooter genre. literally every gaming franchise wanted to be halo 3 in the late 2000s, and for good reason. it's a great game, with a multiplayer component that defined the pro gaming organizations we know today. personally, not my favorite halo, but i still love it a lot.

i really, really dont like anything about this game.

bioshock 2 is often overlooked in bioshock discourse imo, and i can kind of get why but at the same time, it's an awesome game. rapture is like 20 times cooler than in bioshock 1, though i do think bioshock 1 is still better overall. gameplay is more fun, the minigames are SO MUCH BETTER, the story is the only drawback to the game; not as good as bioshock 1 but its still enjoyable.

great horror game with a horrible pc port

such an awesome shooter. gunplay feels chaotic and intense, slow mo dives feel amazing, the setting is great, the story (while a little odd) is good and ends in a satisfying way. really recommend this one at some point

this game gets too much credit sometimes, and too much hate. its not a HORRIBLE game, its just a mediocre one with a bad story, bad gunplay, cool side quests and a solid world.

its a good game, but its one that was never meant to appeal to modern audiences, which is fine. personally found it difficult to stick with at some points, but that may be because of a lack of experience with 90's rpgs

the jim button really sold the game for me

not as good as the new order was, but its still a fantastic entry into the franchise. i loved the soundtrack, combat, and characters even more than the last game, but found certain sections a little too over the top and annoying to play through. still, highly recommend the game if you want to play an amazing shooter.

this game is an amazing shooter, and one hell of a way to reboot an older franchise. there are only one or two minor complaints compared to the overall fantastic story, characters, combat, set pieces, and soundtrack that combine to make an incredible fps.

the game feels so bland compared to the new order. sure, gunplay still feels awesome, shooting nazis still feels incredibly satisfying, but after you finish the first hour or two of the game, everything falls apart.

horrible fallout game, good open world shooter i guess. the setting feels so fucking boring, characters are rarely memorable, the guns all look like toys until you get to the nuka world dlc. everything just feels like it was made to appeal to a mainstream audience a little too much.

its a pretty fun game! the combat loop feels fun and exciting with every encounter, the comedic moments of the game dont really feel forced most of the time, and the game just plays like a fun looter shooter. i do hate that when you reach like level 80 or whatever and go into op power levels all your legendaries that you farmed and collected over dozens of hours are completely useless; if there was like an upgrade system that allowed you to level your gun up with you with eridium or cash, that would make the game like 20 times better.

totally, completely one hundred percent apolitical, centrist take on an ideal society. definitely. yeah
