A lot of great stuff in this, particularly using the stylus to sketch on the map and discover treasures (I'd love to see this return) and the cleverly designed central temple which you return to tackle more efficiently each time thanks to your growth in health, inventory, knowledge and skill. One of my favourite games in the series.

Very much enjoyed this at the time on a PC that could barely run it though all I can remember now is really disliking that Bender from Futurama joined the crew.

Still exceptionally fun and really fast; slingshotting around a Donut Plains hairpin like a rock on the end of a rope is exhilarating. Probably still my favourite Battle Mode in the series too.

Went in with good intentions and plans for amazing levels but instead spent hours replaying friends' stages for faster times. And that was still wonderful.

Definitely harder than the second one; I don't think I could defeat the Yellow Devil without the pause glitch.

A great score attack game. So much of the dialogue is burned into my brain. I still frequently say "Whaaaaaat?!" like General Pepper seeing the invoice because I'm annoying.

Wasn't a fan of the earlier games but I loved this one. Maybe because I'm an old man but the heft of Max as he slung his body around and struggled to haul himself back up was perfect.

Never did finish this remake. Didn't even realise I hadn't until now.

A great version of one of the very best fighting games. The combo trials are a nice addition, even if they are brutally difficult and the parry missions (including that EVO moment) are a delight.

A shaky start for this one but I loved it even then. A lot has improved since launch and while it didn't capture me as full as the Street Fighter IV series did I absolutely adored my time with it. I'll be back for Dan Hibiki's release.

The first time I played this was in a newsagents on Woodside Street. I went E.Honda because I had read in a newspaper that he could slap over one hundred times in a second. My maw and sister went Dhalsim, one on the stick and the other on the buttons. I lost.

My entire life since that day has been a long quest for redeem myself.

I bought an Xbox for this game and pre-ordered it way in advance. I was out of the country for months and had no money in my account and it took me overdrawn and I incurred ~100 in charges charges by the time I got home so I had to play it for hundreds of hours to get my money's worth and I did.
