I am absolutely terrible at this. I don't think I've ever won a match. I don't understand what's going on either as a player or spectator. 4.5/5.

Played this a lot with my girlfriend and now we're married five stars.

Folk in school paid me £2 to unlock the Invincibility cheat for them. I made almost £5.

Took a bit longer to warm to this coming from Like A Dragon due to its unwieldy camera and awkward combat but once it clicked I was in love all over again.

For how often the game flits between high drama and wacky absurdity it's amazing it still manages to keep the story so engaging. I love Yakuza substories because you go in expecting the twist to be this, or maybe that but then it's actually both and also one more. So stupid/incredible.

Except the Catfights. Those were terrible.

There's references to Street Fighter.

A great score attack game. So much of the dialogue is burned into my brain. I still frequently say "Whaaaaaat?!" like General Pepper seeing the invoice because I'm annoying.

Another refinement of Street Fighter II that nobody asked for. You can have HD sprites and backgrounds or stick to classic (unlike HD Remix the classic sprites are against classic backgrounds, rather than that game's weird clash) and you can also tech throws, which is a huge change. Inputs for special moves are also far more lenient than the original Super Turbo, which helps if you're using the Switch's Joy-Con "dpad".

Online is pretty much full of Evil Ryu/Violent Ken as they're very, very strong but if you can pick it up cheap it's worth a go.

The first time I played this was in a newsagents on Woodside Street. I went E.Honda because I had read in a newspaper that he could slap over one hundred times in a second. My maw and sister went Dhalsim, one on the stick and the other on the buttons. I lost.

My entire life since that day has been a long quest for redeem myself.

I still have the memory card with the Animal Crossing stickers on around here somewhere, housing an entire acre of dead digital animals.

I love Clock Town and everyone in it.

Really enjoyed playing as Parker in this. Some disgusting little setups and combos you can use, despite the ostensible simple controls. Had a great deal of fun with this.

This is great. A wonderful example of all the amazing haptic sensations future PS5 games won't include.

A great version of one of the very best fighting games. The combo trials are a nice addition, even if they are brutally difficult and the parry missions (including that EVO moment) are a delight.

I'm sure I've finished this. There's no way I haven't finished this.

As kids we used to always "Do a Michael Jackson" which meant moonwalking up the stairs then holding the whip above your head.
