gamers when platformers: -_-
gamers when platformers have a protagonist in sports bra: O:

not a great platformer in isolation, but so much better than the original series, thank god they got rid of the grids

ah I too keep my bags of cash and my emerald rings in the toilet bowls

spent 30 mins in the tutorial warming up to the controls before i gave up

nothing but respect for all the veteran gamers who endured tank controls to finish this game 🫡

this is the game that made me realize that i’m definitely NOT a disney adult

absolutely incomprehensible messy of a story but the opening cinematic slapped so hard it felt like a physical assault

got bored after the third mission but i spent hours kicking small children down the roads and watching them flounder on the ground and it was awesome

creating a game adaptation for one of the most coveted franchises is a hard task, and making the finales generic third person shooter games was definitely a choice. it still has the great story from the movie to fall back on but it doesn't offer any new experiences beyond that. slightly better than part 1 but mostly because there's more action scenes for the shooting aspect to actualize. im glad the franchise is getting the marvels spiderman treatment with hogwarts legacy in 2023, however without all the beloved characters it wont be the same.

came for a fun wizard adventure game and i got a third person shooter?????

they have been tuning the formula but it really got repetitive at this point, especially when the whole plot was already told from the movie, it makes the missions feel more like chores that distract you from freely exploring the world

the graphics felt almost photorealistic for the time and hogwarts has never looked more beautiful, but they really picked the weakest movie in the series to go off wth

does not live up to the story or the movie. while the multiplayer aspect is innovative, it feels like a step back in other areas. the lack of an open world to explore and the choice to opt for a weird third-person camera are most notably drawbacks. also, the graphic effects of the spells and the collectibles feel so different and disconnected from the art style of the game, ugly even, making the playthrough of the game a lot less magical

despite the characters looking like they are created in sims 3 and having minor annoyances like a sectioned off world and too many loading screens, it replicates the feeling of being in a magical world wonderfully. the puzzles are just the right difficulty to feel rewarding and fun, and the dementors are genuinely unsettling, just like in the movie. though it feels like they try to pack a lot of the story into cutscenes, so the pacing feels kinda awkward towards the end. Ron feels like a burden, but being able to switch between characters during gameplay gagged me a bit, and probably so did rockstar employees.

holy shit can the prefects like relax??? why are these megalomaniac losers just roam around in the hallways and cast spells at me for walking around?? dude you literally sit next to me in biology
