my deep sense of pity could be totally paternal and unwarranted but I really wish I could give a big warm hug to every game artist who hustled for years to get their dream job at Square Enix and then had to expend their life energy cranking out this chibi homunculus nightmare that nobody in the world wanted or played

If you can learn to stomach the cringey veneer of memey tryhard white kid dialogue that permeates the game, Life Is Strange actually manages to tell a really cool story and evoke a very nostalgic sense of what it's like to be a kid embroiled in drama and danger.

The most perfect game. I didn't think it was possible to improve on the original but they did it. Even the Akechi storyline, which was the only disappointment I had in the original, was largely redeemed by the additions.
