"The games of thirty years ago, today."

I love the YouTube series 'Now in the 90s' [https://www.youtube.com/@Nowinthe90s], but I tend to get overwhelmed all over again if I try to keep up with the weekly "new releases" there. In 1994, I would get FOMO because I didn't have the money to play everything. These days, I get FOMO from not having enough time. Funny ol' world.

Anyway, Jared & Dylan also don't cover PC games or Japan-only releases, so I figured I'd make this as a small companion list to theirs. 12 entries, approximately one for each month to keep it manageable.

Maybe I'll swap in other entries as the year goes on, if something looks more interesting. I certainly won't have the time to add more than 12, though, especially while I'm also making an effort to keep my toes in the stream of the 2024 new releases too. So, stay tuned.

UPDATE 29-DEC-2023: I cut NHL ‘94 and Doom 1 (since they both came out in late ‘93) and swapped in Jagged Alliance (which had a nebulous release date sometime in late ‘94) and Donkey Kong Country (because people were going to yell at me if I didn’t include DKC).
