It's a Yakuza game with some added mechanics like tailing and finding clues. Some of them work better than others, especially tailing is very repetitious.
The story is tense, engaging and mostly well paced. Around the middle point there are couple chapters that could be cut and not much of value would be lost.

It tries to be in the same ballpark as Little Nightmares but in the end there are just too many blemishes.
It has beautiful visuals, but the music is mostly forgettable. It has some great puzzles, but there are also lots of generic block pushing ones. The story is charming, but the kids voice sounds like 30 year old women doing high pitched voice.

I love the nightmarish visual design but the gameplay just doesn't work for me. I just had this feeling the whole game that I was playing the game wrong because everything was so hard and tedious. Trying to kill enemies with guns or melee but every weapon breaks after couple hits. Trying to stealth past enemies but it seems random when it works and when it doesn't. So in the end I mostly ran past enemies.
