Literally the bare minimum for some of the greatest games of all time that deserved so much more.

If I had a nickel for every 2000's RPG sequel that had better combat than the original, but worse map design, and to this day is still brought up as a point of comparison against its follow ups, and contains a location named Twilight Town, I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

Life changing 7 out of 10 game

Fun fact about me: this was the first game I ever pre-ordered.

Ya'll act like this game killed your family god damn

I have a weird relationship with this game cause it's the classic Sonic game I go back to the least. I recognize it's better than Sonic 1 but I just have far less of a connection to Sonic 2 than I do 1.

I still don't understand how to play

My friend Dave played this for 8 hours once.

We don't talk anymore.

Lowkey hidden gem when played multiplayer

Was cool until I realized it was an ARG. I admire the effort but it's just not my thing.

Old Sonic World engine physics make this one real hard to go back to, but it deserves it's due for setting a new standard for Sonic fan games. Hoping someone makes a remake of this or smth.

Played in co-op and this game is better than I remember tbh.

Better physics and mid air curling pretty much immediately make this a cut above Sonic: Before the Sequel. Unfortunately, minus half a star for not being able run on water in ball form (half joking).

Got fucked up on NSO and played this randomly.
