Where the presentation lacks, the solid (if abusable) additions of reclassing, forging and mid-chapter save points goes a long way in making this remake of the first Fire Emblem worthwhile to fans of the series or SSBM Marth mains. H5 difficulty is one of the most hardcore challenges in gaming and I have no clue how Dondon151 managed to low-turn-count this shit - https://youtu.be/rt5nWHfLLnM

THE killer app of CoolMathGames. If you didn't play Skater, you're a weenie.

A short, historically accurate freeware game about living in communist Poland in the 70's on Christmas Eve. The game is dripping in some sublime era-appropriate gloomy atmosphere, and the "trying to be a good guy and father" ending got me catching some feels.

The Super Mario Bros. of the Leapster L-Max. Proof that all good edutainment focuses on the "-tainment" before the "edu-".

Isometric voxel-graphics GTA1/2-like where you drive around an open world dodging the police while collecting money to play the car gacha. Got pretty schnasty at this one during homeroom my junior year.

It's a cute game and all but. A game this simple should not run at 2 frames per second.

A western romance VN about a jolly band of misfit idols and their producer (you) forming "Starnova" and finding their rebirth in the glamorous-yet-grotesque idol industry, with their aim to dethrone Japan's top idol group, "Quasar". Some of the routes aren't the strongest and there are many small writing issues, but the great ideas and fantastic charm of Shining Song Starnova make it a good read overall, and a strong recommend if a usually silly (but sometimes dramatic) story about Japanese idols + their industry sounds up your alley.

A beautiful little terrarium sim where you must influence the population of bugs and fungi in order to create a successful, balanced ecosystem. Just like in real life, locusts can fuck right off.

Cutesy-macabre arena hoard shooter where you must break the curse set upon your family by surviving the (Irish voice-acted!) witch's barrage. The endgame does get a little boring if you're doing the good old clear-a-path then circle strafe, but the sheer volume of enemies forces you to choose your upgrades well and have good execution if you're to survive the whole 15 minutes.

Drive right to collect the coins and fuel cans while trying not to crash your buggy, which operates on looney tunes physics the moment you go too fast over a molehill. I'd like to have a word with whoever decides what app store games become popular in middle school, because lots of these games (incl. Hill Climb Racing) were very mid in retrospect.

Ultimately a short and poorly written visual novel if you're playing without the patch or (god forbid) on console. As smut, it's ok.
