Huh.

So that's how a steam engine works.

Surprisingly very good, especially for what it is! Mario Tennis on the N64 is one of my favorite sports games, and they did a great job making this one feel very similar.

The RPG story mode is very cute, but it's always very jarring seeing Mario characters alongside "normal people."

Extra points because it's very funny that Waluigi is in the base roster and Wario isn't. I have no idea if Wario is unlockable. That's fine.

2019

So in Kirby Air Ride for the Nintendo GameCube, there's a mode called "Top Ride" where you race in a top-down perspective, like slot-car racing, as opposed to the traditional behind-the-kart perspective of the other two modes, "Air Ride" and "City Trial". Unlike these modes, "Top Ride" only offers the option to ride on two stars (karts) that simply change the controls. There's the Free Star that turns your star to the direction you tilt the joystick (if you point north, Kirby will go north). Then there's the Steer Star that makes your star turn left by tilting the joystick left, and right by tilting the joystick right, a la "tank-controls".

I am the only person I have ever played Kirby Air Ride with who uses the Steer Star. Apparently I'm some kind of freak.

Anyway, I can't control the fish in Fishy very well because I keep trying to turn as though I'm playing Kirby Air Ride in "Top Ride" mode on the Steer Star.

Cute game though.

Fish eat, get big.

Glub glub.

What a nice surprise.

While it brands itself as a turn-based strategy game, Shiner works more like a puzzle game as you get more and more moves from other characters you defeat. The voice acting is great, a single playthrough is short, and the dialogue is warm, funny, and kind. A simple story of a little rabbit-lookin' character who gets beat up and challenges everyone they see, on a quest to finally challenge the bully who punched them just after hatching from an egg.

The opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference. Personally, it fills my heart with tremendous joy every time I briefly think back on my school bullies, knowing how microscopic of an impact they've made on my adult life.

Pretty sure one of them went to jail for breaking into a house lmao get farted on fuckin loser

"Wow, this sucks. How much did I spend on this?"

checks Steam page to see the word "Free"

"Oh thank god."

"Do you remember the time when we went for a walk and had a really romantic experience and looked up at the stars? Why didn't you kiss me?"

didn't wanna

Cute. Short. I made a big ladder and saw some cute dinosaurs.

:)

None of this would have happened if Fuminori simply owned an air fryer.

Apparently the Japanese version of Tetris 2 is called Tetris Flash, which I think is a very cool name that doesn't carry the tremendous weight on its shoulders of being called Tetris 2.

It's fine.

If you think of Space Panic like a platformer, it isn't very good.

However, if you think of it like a puzzle game or a maze game like Pac-Man, it's fine.

I like this more than Donkey Kong. Not by much though.

Playing this game on the 4th of July is the most patriotic act I have ever performed.

Almost cool.

Riddled with grammatical errors and bad voice acting, slapped on top of a "story" that falls apart very quickly.

Don't play this, it's boring and bad.

"I am trained in gorilla warfare...I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words."

-a Super Monkey Ball 2 veteran

Fun Fact: The main mode of this Monkey Ball game is called "Challenge", which is a reference to the average difficulty of the games Super Monkey Ball and Super Monkey Ball 2 for the Nintendo GameCube. This subtle nod might go over the heads of the average Super Monkey Ball 3D enjoyer, due to the game's inability to offer such a thing.

baseball but epic
