this used to be my life when i was a kid
used to be my comfort game when i was a university student bc i picked it back up after getting a new phone but then turned into a rly convoluted 'watch this ad to do this thing' kinda game what with the very distracting notifications and notices all over the UI.

i tried to play this when it wasnt even officially released yet and it crashed every 2 seconds. even as a teenager i wasnt mean enough to enjoy torturing the butlers😭
i played both the ds and pc version. it's not perfect but it's a great game!

i am an almost day one player (prob started around a month after release) and i could rant for paragraphs about whats wrong w the game (AND THE COMPANY!!) but at the end of the day im weak for the character designs and have been since LINE: cookie run.
id play more if the game wasnt so laggy and had problems w frequent crashing lol

been playing since release and even even pre-registered and i would love to give this game a higher rating bc i love the visuals, concept and most of the writing (as far as an H game for mobile goes, obviously) but the gameplay is so repetitive, uninteresting and so obviously an afterthought put there to justify the game existing.
let's not talk about the gacha banners' rates and the reruns being paid-gems only (unless you're turbo christ and manage to save enough pink gems when your fav rerun drops idfk lol).
most gacha games are p2w and while at least here you dont necessarily p2w, you obviously miss out on your favorite character(s)' scenarios and illusts if you don't pay when you can't manage as a f2p player.

game rly lives up to the title bc i am always feeling fear and hunger when i play it.
i still need to finish it but despite me being a pant-pooping coward i highly enjoy it and love the mechanics and character and monster designs!!!
the writing and environment also really set the mood which is what makes me feel this looming sense of dread and helplessness that by the time i reach the ancient city i genuinely can't shake off until i close the game haha
