3 stars only bc amanohashi is real and not a funny little extra

started this game as a g*rl came out a gay man (i want the switch port so bad but konami is insane for the price tag they put on it)

used to be fun but the dev started catering to insym so regular players like me stopped finding enjoyment in the game.
every time i played with my friends i'd end up falling asleep midgame lol

its not perfect but its a lot of fun although after a while you kinda get tired of it

5 stars only bc it made me rage so much i started yelling random shit about mario

game rly lives up to the title bc i am always feeling fear and hunger when i play it.
i still need to finish it but despite me being a pant-pooping coward i highly enjoy it and love the mechanics and character and monster designs!!!
the writing and environment also really set the mood which is what makes me feel this looming sense of dread and helplessness that by the time i reach the ancient city i genuinely can't shake off until i close the game haha

i might pick it up again but the game was lowkey too tedious and the UI was bothering so much i lost the will to play

i might have to play this in japanese bc god the localization was so ass i couldn't stand it.
knowing japanese at a fairly decent level and hearing the JP dub paired w the english text made my head spin.
