Better than Clam Digger!
Despite the many, many flaws this game has (including the atrocious dungeon design, crappy level up system that renders magic useless, and high random encounter rate) I thoroughly enjoyed playing this version of FF2. If you have to play all the Final Fantasy games, go with this version when you play FF2.
Has a bunch of problems as a game (tons of bugs, ridiculously unfair difficulty) but I personally love it regardless, mostly because of its simplicity and vibe. It feels like an AD&D campaign in JRPG form.
