Overall fine for a romhack, use of music from other games can range from 'oh in know this' to jarring or irritating. Animations are decent and maps seem fine but can become a matter of just juggernauting being the easiest way to do most of the maps, however the abundance of side objectives and goodies to try to collect will push you to not do this, which is pretty nice.

Split into 4 sections each 'end game' map seems to be the best in each section but the middle maps can get a bit samey.

Take a shot every time someone says "cheese and wine" if you want alcohol poisoning take a shot every time someone says "family"

There was also a moment where a guy basically said "nothing person el kid" and teleported behind me

Really good, feels like all play styles are valid and able to beat the game with similar amounts of effort, yeah there are some specific things that are OP but on the whole nothing feels worthless. Only real complaints are the camera being unable to fit enough of the larger bosses on screen to let you know what attack they're doing.

Sort of middle of the road kind of game, any strategy is undercut by just attacking guys being the strongest thing you can do on every turn, as well as the keeping levels when you lose meaning that you winning is just inevitable.

The endings are pretty bland tbh, the existence of a 'golden route' feels like it undercuts the premise of the game as a whole since it turns the story from a game about hard choices to a game of the right and wrong choices. Characters seem to act a little out of character at the end in the non 'golden' endings, I assume to add some drama and scold you for being 'wrong'

The core game is really good, really enjoy sneaking up on pokemon and yeeting pokeballs.

I enjoyed having early access to good moves but the battle system being super simplified I'm not a fan of. While the trainer fights were all push overs at least the alpha pokemon put up some of a fight.

Really disliked the shoehorning in of not just legendries (again) but an ugly redesign of a legendary (again.) With that said it's still a ton of fun and worth playing despite it's flaws

Kind of a mixed bag, if you're the type of player that loves to optimise stuff and wants to get a 'perfect' speedy, low turn count playthrough then this game will be up your ally.

A remake of FE3 and as a follow up to Shadow Dragon it seems to have added a bit more colour into the maps, portraits and combat screens, the artist doing the CGs for in between the maps still hates drawing eyes though.

This game keeps a lot of FE11's new features like replacement units if you lose too many and allowing you to change most character's classes, this lets players who know what they're doing get pretty experimental with what type of character builds you can do, along with the forging system being back give advanced players lots of potential to mess with but more casual players can end up just being blinded with options. One big thing missing from FE11 is ballisticians which is very sad cus 10 range weapons are funny.

With that said I'm not a fan of how the difficulty modes work, along with the stat creep of FE11 this game also does stuff like taking away the warp staff in higher difficulties and having lunatic reverse, wherein not only is every enemy stat creeped but they all also move first in combat no matter what.

Much like the original I'm not a fan of having miss-able items which lock you out of the 'true' ending really sucks, however it's easier to not miss any of them but it still points a new player towards wanting to look up a guide which isn't great in my opinion. This also goes against the rest of the mechanics pushing you to go for no resets and pushing through your mistakes.

Adding in a remake of BSFE is also a nice touch and kind of required as trying to play the original in today's world is near impossible.

In terms of story it's mostly the same as FE3 but a lot of the new stuff drags the game down a bit, the new plot points don't really mesh well with the original story and the time scale of the whole orphanage thing makes zero sense. Speaking of new stuff the new maps also aren't great but at least they're only 1-2 turn puzzles, while I didn't enjoy them it's another thing this game gives for puzzle-emblem enjoyers.

Overall it's a decent game but would probably end up replaying FE3 over this in the future if I felt like playing more Marth emblem. If you're a big fan of FE11 it's worth having a look at, try out hard 1 or 2 and if you loved that then the harder modes will be enjoyable too.

Pretty good for a SRPG running on the nes, its main issue is that it runs super slowly so just make sure to bind a shoulder button to speed up or something.

Positives: Fairly unique item system compared to other FE games, each item feels like a powerful addition to your team rather than mostly generic weapons you usually manage, I prefer the normal weapon system of the other games but I can see the appeal in this.

While some complain about the open maps most of them have you playing around a small section of the map with a bridge or something on it with the further away enemies almost acting like reinforcements so you're on a timer to deal with the first 'wave' before they arrive.

Early access to warp which never runs out is fun, and spell usage costing health is cool, also makes some bosses fun to take out, if you can't damage them normally, could you instead just throw dudes at them to make them use up their own health by countering?

Resurrection shrines might be a better push to get players to play with permadeath then the wheel of time in my opinion.

Long range bows are great, sad it took until three houses for them to come back. There's a couple of cool story / gameplay integration bits sprinkled in, (certain boss not attacking Alm, Zeke joining post map starting if you've saved his wife, ect)

Negatives: While I don't mind the open maps too much the corridor maps are boring and a massive slog, the abundance of 5 range enemies in the late game is also a pain to deal with.

The latter half of the game slows down a lot too due to the around of health / defence enemies have which doesn't really make the game 'harder' just longer.

The UI being pretty bad means you have a really hard time judging if attacking an enemy is a good idea or not, some may say you should just learn the formula's, but that's a lot of work, and most people are going to save state / reload which isn't something you want to be pushing the player to do (not that they could've known players would do this when designing it 30 years ago.)

The lack of the stuff added in the remake (supports, weapon arts) also make the hit rates pretty low all round which can be annoying to play through.

Overall worth a look at if you're a fan of the games, I'd personally go for the remake if I end up wanting to play again.

It's so weird how they made your rival not an asshole so at the end of the game prof oak can't be like "bruh, you lost cus you were a dick" so instead he's like "lmao, get good rival guy."

Pretty nice to playthrough if you just want some fairly mindless pokemon stuff to do. It's a shame that the control schemes are limited, it would have been nice to use a pro controller with gyro aiming while docked like you can do in hand held.

The combat been streamlined by taking out stuff like held items and abilities which is ok, the system where you feed 'candies' to pokemon to raise stats rather than them just passively getting them through EVs feels like a step back imo as it takes something automatic for casual players and makes it drawn out and dull.

Catching / encountering wild pokemon works similarly to how it does in Go but with locations of pokemon being more or less where they were in gen 1. Speaking of gen 1 this game has a lot of references to it, like characters posing to match their gen one sprite at the start of battles and red / blue and green being in the game.

The referencing of gen 1 while trying to be it's own thing makes the story feel really disconnected and weird, almost like this is a theme park for kanto rather than kanto its self.

I had fun catching stuff and exploring kanto again and the connectivity with home, go and regular trading make filling the pokedex fairly easy which is nice.

They should remake a modern version of this and sell it as a tie in to the olympics

Little sandbox skating game with 4 different types of ramps to mess about on. Pretty fun to just boot up and play around with for a few minutes if you have some spare time.

There's no flat land tricks just grabs, spins and grinds but I think that limited scope fits the idea or something fairly easy to get to grips with but you can practice the basics a bunch and try to string together some impressive jumps.

Nice short game, not super deep but does what it wants to do well and is pretty entertaining.

Due to the perspective there might be instances of getting hit when it looks like you should've been fine but that's pretty forgivable given how quick it is to get back to where you were.

Really fun fighting / fencing 1 v 1 game really minimalist in both visuals and controls it's super fun to play. Once you get used to the controls it's really fun and unique to play pretty much does everything it sets out to do the only thing I would want more is extra levels but the ones that are there seem to offer a lot of replay-ability.

There's also a single player to help you get used to the controls that's pretty funny to run through.

Seems a lot better than the first but after a few hours it still seems pretty easy to just walk though. You can save every turn which means you never have to think more than one turn ahead of where you are.

The story started out a little better but then you end up doing several maps where basically nothing happens.

Your main guy seemingly never takes any damage and one shots everything and the maps, while better than the first, still seem to be turning into more and more of a slog as I progress. Instead of interesting maps they seem to just be corridors with a few tiles every now and again that drop your move to one tile which takes everything take ages but doesn't make it any harder.

It's a shame because I want to like the game but it's doing it's best to be a pain in the arse to play.

At least there's a funny 3D rendered head that raises it's eyebrows at you when you unlock the fusing demons area.

The premise is pretty cool and the stylised menu for inputting your name is very fitting for the game but apart from that it's fairly weak. all inputs feel like they have a delay on them and all menu's seem to have an extra layer than needed, so far the easiest option to clear any map was to just chuck the main hero into the middle and let the enemies end themselves on him.

Graphically still images of the game look pretty cool but the game actually in motion is pretty static and doesn't live up to other SRPGs from the same time.

Talking to enemies works similarly to SMT and grants you demons in the same way, you can fuse them whenever you feel like it which is nice, but again, what's the point if the main character can one shot anything?

Playing this straight off the back of SMT 1 which I felt was dated but still a good game and as a massive fan of FE I guess I was always set up to be disappointed.

Feels a bit unfair to give it a rating as I just couldn't get through the initial part of the game. Gave up at around chapter 9 or so. Would say to only give it a go if you're really into SMT

Probably my favourite crafty / survival type of game. Like all of them it's best with friends.

I like that the food system stops you from having blanket upgrades that keep your power level consistently high so you have to work towards staying strong. The upgrade path is cool too but we ended up looking online for how to progress a couple times.
The combat is nice although can be a bit floaty and hit reg is a bit hit or miss but not enough to detract from the experience.
Retrieving dropped items of ally's is the best part of the game and turns a simple corpse run into a plan where you kit out the fallen guy with hand me downs and body guard them up to their stuff, lots of chance for on the fly planning.
