Close to perfection. The story is a perfect mix of simplicity and spectacle, and I'd say this is one of the few games worth nearly 100%ing, (fuck getting all Odin's Ravens).

Half a point off just because the enemy variety wasn't always great. Feels like you fight eight different Troll bosses out of like 12 story boss fights in total.

See I'm usually more of a dome getter (please clap), but this game is pretty fun and addicting.

Right now it's a little sparse on content so it's only 3 stars but I bet in a year or from now this game will be even greater than it is now.

Where Ragnarok improves on GOW2018's gameplay significantly via new enemies, weapons, etc., I think the story in 2018 is just straight-up better. 2018's simpler story felt more cohesive and hit me harder than most of the story beats in Ragnarok. Some characters, like Freyr, barely get any screen time, and it feels like a missed opportunity and something that wouldn't have happened in 2018 because its roster of characters was so much smaller. Overall a phenomenal game that I'd recommend to most anyone, but I can't help from enjoying 2018 more.

nostalgia lenses, but fuck it, one of the greatest, if not the greatest game on the 360.
