Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of Yakuza 2. Like Kiwami 1, the game takes the original game and re creates it from the ground up using previous game's assets to update it to today's standards. This time it uses a slightly improved version of the Yakuza 6 Dragon Engine which in my opinion is fun to play around with and the connected seamless open world makes the presentation easily the most impressive so far. The story is a major improvement over the first game's, this time taking on more of a crime drama theme than the last game with some twists that felt like they could have been executed better and an ending that was just shy of being astounding. The gameplay is a major step down from Kiwami 1 as it feels lackluster in the types of moves and skills you can acquire and the difficulty of the game is lowered a lot even on hard mode where the player's damage output is a bit too high and the combat can feel unpredictable at times making certain strategies or combos hard to pull off.
