This one is the most underrated entry in the franchise even though it has one of the best and realistic physics among all the games even compared to the games of 2023. I think people forgot about this game because of all the optimization issues. Rockstar should re-release it. It's a masterpiece.

Ran barely at 25-30 fps on very low settings on my Vega 11.
It feels weird that I need RTX 3090 to build a PC with 3090 in ultra. I'm so poor that I can't even have fantasies.
Nevertheless the idea of the game is great. However, it gets a little repetitive after 5-6 hours as a lot of the orders are same.

I didn't expect much when I started but I sure didn't expect an indie masterpiece that it turned out to be! I want more games like this to learn history.

Positives:
[+] Engaging Storytelling
[+] Charming Protagonist
[+] Excellent portrayal of 1900's Taiwan
[+] Beautiful artstyle
[+] Unique and satisfying gameplay mechanics
[+] Interesting boss fights
[+] Great soundtracks
[+] Fast travelling with rickshaws

Negatives:
[-] A few unfair platforming sections
[-] Combat becomes repetitive at the last part of the game

One of the best exploration games out there with an excellent story and environment. This is the type of game where you should start blind without any previous knowledge of the game. The mystery, surprises and the random encounters make it an excellent sea adventure game.

Among all the GTA games, I played this one the most. I used to experiment different things in this game when I was a kid because I never experienced anything like that before. This was revolutionary for it's time.

I played the game very recently once again and finished it this time. The atmosphere was truly amazing and it's satisfying even after 22 years.

The developers removed some content among art and animations that deemed questionable. This includes some nazi-like insignas, panty shots, a sovet announcer and the redesign of an oversexualized female combatant.

While for many this could look harmless or necessary, the issue is that the players paid for said content when the game was released (and funded). Even more, the devs made the oversexualized characters their main selling point for the game and everyone that decided to chip in and buy did it because they liked that aspect.

Now, ten years after its release, the developing team decided to remove and cover some of the promised, advertised and sold content, and the players are complaining because it's simply not the game they paid for. Not anymore.

I have sweet memories of this game. But recently when I played it again, I realized that it hasn't age very well.

It's like the other beat 'em ups of capcom. But it feels a little bit repetitive because there isn't much variation in action and levelling up doesn't make any difference.

The artstyle is amazing but the difficulty spikes to insanely high level which is not fun.

The very first game I ever played on my home console. I was 4 years old that time. The main menu music still feels good every time. I used to play co-op with my elder sister. It's a very difficult game like every other games on NES.

The music and the atmosphere of this game is really unnerving. Also killing someone with a plastic bag is really fun. However, The novelty wears off pretty quickly when you have to watch the same killing animation over and over again. This game is basically lure the enemy, wait until he turns his back on you, kill him.
Very repetitive

To me this is the best battlefield game. The graphics was insane for that time. The campaign is short but memorable. The gameplay was satisfying. Multiplayer was active for a long time.

I don't get the hate for this game. I think it's because of Ratonhnhaké:ton being a boring protagonist. But Haytham Kenway is easily one of the most interesting characters in Assassin's Creed game franchise. I could never even predict the twist at the middle of the game regarding Haytham. Lastly, the OST is so good that I still listen to it on youtube sometimes.

This is one of the coolest beat 'em up games I played in my childhood. Capcom should bring it back. I always thought the name of the company Capcom came from Captain Commando.

Pretty decent low-budget remake and it didn't crash even once when I played. Just turn off the music (because the original one didn't have any rock music going on all the time), the UI sound effect (the annoying score sound after each kill), and aim assist before playing.

The positives:
[+] Nostalgic (pretty much faithful to the original one, even the dialogues are the same)
[+] Nice graphics
[+] All the enemy redesigns look good. The third boss, Hermit, redesign looks surprisingly better than the original one.
[+] Multiple roads to each boss (just like the original one)

The Negatives:
[-] Painfully slow loading
[-] The final boss, Magician, does not look as terrifying as the original one. Even his animations are slow.
[-] I would love to see the route I chose to the final boss after finishing the game. Also in the main menu, there should be a map where it tells me which routes I have covered overall and which routes I have never set my feet on.
[-] Music
[-] Lack of online 2-player mode
[-] The original soundtrack was much better. I missed "Re-Re-Re-Reloooaad Reloaaad" sooo much! (Try this link to replace the soundtrack
[-] Light gun not supported (I don't have one, so I don't care anyway)

I would love to see remakes of other light gun game series such as Virtua Cop, Time Crisis, etc and obviously, I want a House of the Dead 2 remake!

HIlariously Gen Z idiots are giving negative reviews because the game is short. I never want unnecessary fillers in my game. Just wait for a sale if you don't want to spend much on a short game, otherwise, you may go for ubish!t games where you can do the same crap in a soulless open world over and over for hundreds of hours.
