very important game insofar as i think this makes most people begin to understand what these things are for and can do. personally im not a fan of the aesthetics but it is so obvious that kikiyama actually understands this stuff as art that it is basically required that you play this if you want to get at any real idea of what good games can actually get you besides straight dopamine

what is particularly frustrating abt this as a cultural phenomenon is the insane excess of stupid fangames relative to the little club of games that take this as a genuine manifesto for games as art. its like when the conditions arent inherently capitalist, whenever an idea is put forth, we still are going to imitate the structures' modes of creation when there is pretty much no reason to. it all suffocates

very pretty game.. the themes rnt rly worth all the praise ive read but the gameplay loop is satisfying, the struggle against an unstoppable force is effective (i enjoy that its not constantly Impending the way it is in majoras mask), and theres clear inspiration in the level of detail here. very nice, great stuff
