Was one of, if not my most favorite game as a kid. Must have completed it at least 20 times. I was obsessed, it's all I would talk about and I kept drawing things from it.

Coming back to it now after not playing it for a few years and with my current standards, I think it's... pretty good. It's not a masterpiece, but it's a nice game to go through in one sitting.
The vibe has stayed immaculate throughout the years, but my adult brain saw the shortcomings of it more easily.
The boo quest is lame, and some bosses stink, for example.

I do think the game is amazing to replay thanks to all the secrets you can find and the scoring system, big plus right there.

I easily recommend anyone to try this game, but avoid the 3DS version unless you have no other choice. It's not bad by any means but it makes strange changes and the controls are worse.
