one of the most frustrating things ive ever played. bayo gets SO many incredible new outfits and powers yet you spend half the game playing as her awful oc-maker spray-on-hair poochie daughter. the ending and the implication that she was wildly in love with the nothing beard man (I DONT EVEN REMEMBER HIS NAME) the whole time despite never showing anything more than amused courtly disdain for him and literally being willing to go to hell and back for jeanne was absolutely nothing short of CRIMINAL. he literally exists as a boppable clown toy whose job is to get hit and teased by her. the implication that she would let him PUT IT IN is heinous. the implication that her daughter is anywhere near in the same class as her is fully insulting to the brainpower and taste of the audience. i dont even care about the lore! i dont even care about it! i only care about bayo! but they fucked her up!!! FUCK THIS GAME

I know most folks regard Brawl as the worst Smash but I legit love it. Part of that is thanks to Subspace Emissary which kicks ass. Every other Smash game since then has had a lame campaign and I wish Nintendo would do something cool like this again. As a casual player, I thought this game itself played just fine.

loved being able to listen to MIDIs for one year

Greedy company. The "story" is ok, but the whole point of the game is just grinding for cosmetics that now have exaggerated prices, let's not also mention the new ticket system. I genuinely regret spending so much money on this game. Save yourself from this, without the social part this game is an absolute cashgrab.

now that they are closing this game I felt the obligation to finish it as somewhat of a nier fan who didn't wanna risk this becoming lost media but at least the devs give u a bunch of free stuff that makes beating the game pretty much a piece of cake so that nice.
The game itself is fine, mobile rpg f2p gacha thing not much to say the story is ok but very linear and slow so not for me
the real thing going for this game is the nier art style

started out a solid game with a neat concept, taking the themes and mechanics in tcg's previous game journey and expanding upon them to create a wonderful world. i had fun exploring the world of sky, uncovering its secrets and piecing together what happened in the land before. it was such a relaxing game and enjoyable to spend times with friends in, exploring every nook and cranny uncovering everything we can

but. it got greedy. and grindy and full of 20 dollar microtransactions for singular cosmetics. the issue is that sky: cotl is a game with no real end goal and nothing to work for aside from cosmetic items. these items are paid for with candles, collected from light sources in the game. or a variant of candles that are only obtainable during seasons

seasons bring with them new areas, cosmetics, stories, and characters. they can be fun to explore at the start, but are often released as buggy messes that sometimes take months to fix. these seasons are also the only way you can get special cosmetics. the special cosmetics, called "ultimate gifts" by the community, are only obtainable when you pay 10 usd for a season pass AND play near daily to make sure you obtain every single possible seasonal candle. miss a week or two because of life? you are now unable to obtain something you paid real life money for. that is, unless you shell out more money to buy extra seasonal candles of course

what starts out as a simple wind-down game can quickly turn into a stressful min-maxing grind fest, where you spend every day following special routes and completing daily quests to maximize the amount of candles you earn so that you can get that sweet new cosmetic youre eyeing. or you can always open your wallet and give tgc hundreds of dollars

i genuinely loved this game, its art and world were wonderful to explore and i made great friends within it. however, i just cant recommend this game in good conscience as its fallen more and more into greed and predatory pricing practices

one time i told my mum i was in a lobby with a hacker and i thought it was so cool because they would spam items and it was funny. then she got mad at me? like wtf it's not my fault i dont choose who im in lobby with

what if you lurked on the internet but you also occupied another physical space while doing it

Once you start there is no going back

I had some goodwill about this game and its chill vibes and atmohsphere... until they introduced the loli sex android that loves to say lewd stuff while also giving others graphic details of the acts she performs at her job... But it's okay she was only designed to look like a child ecks dee.

I'm not against sexualisation in games and stuff, but this game jumps from actually engaging serious cyberpunk stuff to feeling like it was written by an anime-obsessed 4-Channer. In fact, there's literally a 4-Chan replica within the game. Maybe I'm making this review too personal, but I just get a bad vibe from this game lurking beneath the good stuff. But everyone else seems to love it, so don't let me stop you from enjoying the good stuff I can admit is there.

this would've been my first pokemon game but it was on one of those 300 games in 1 cartridges and it was in german so I couldn't understand anything

When I was about ten or so I used to get the magazines for this game and bring them to school and I was the coolest fucker on the playground. This game actually elevated my social status for a while.

i was never skilled at using this application but i loved seeing what other people created with it, despite how limited it was. it's a little nostalgic looking back on old flipnote animations.
