just find an iso of the PS2 one online instead, map the right/left reversed on the right stick, and run in software mode on pcsx2, there, that's all you need

this version of Yakuza 2 does a Huge disservice to the original in terms of presentation and pacing, butchers the entire soundtrack, remodels a lot of story characters for the worse imo, and generally just making the original game look cheaper than it actually was

The new side content is alright on it's own but sticks out badly next to the original content, and lack of a third town really drags down a lot of what made Y2 seem so big compared to Y1, Majima Saga especially left a sour taste in my mouth with how barebones it was, the bosses were awful and the story served nothing new or purposeful aside from rethreading Zero's ending again for fanservice

tldr it's an ok standalone game for minigames and sidestuff, fucking awful remake of one of my favourite games ever

yakuza 1 minus the gritty cinematic atmosphere, anything resembling game balance, worse remixed OST, additional filler content and worse updated voice acting, hooray

at least the updated versions of older blander substories are a bit more fun

name me literally one flaw about the game

one of the best psychological horror stories stuck in a game with terrible combat

torturous and deranged game, I love it

i'll defend the game's aesthetic and atmosphere with my life

Mondo Grosso - Shinin' is stuck on repeat in my head rent free

sign that horror games as a genre isn't entirely ruined to death

lynchian dreamscape hellhole of a game

I would like to meet Ken Levine in person just to exchange some words :)

one of the most overrated games i've played

it's ok, doesn't do anything it's older and newer peers haven't done better

hey look it's the only good Bioshock game
