Really was hoping to see Jesse! But this game rocked. Sam Lake is an Ocean and by god Remedy is a fucking Ocean planet. What tremendous talent, all awash with light and creativity, creating this metatextual, post-modern detective-cum-supernatural, story.
Fan theory--that acknowledges ownership of IP prevents--Quantum Break was the inciting incident for the Remedy Connected Universe, both from a literal and metaphorical place. Its breaking of universe boundaries opened up the world to hiss and darkness and Oops and AWEs. A. Wake (S. Lake) then, from a Dan Harmon story-circle perspective, enters unfamiliar territory (both literal, building a connected universe and incorporating live-action in game), finding what they were looking far, etc...a circle. But, it's not a circle, it's a spiral, enter: The Connected Universe. Looking backward and forward, these narratives stack unevenly, shadow boxing each other, no beginning and no end (so to speak). Who is Max Payne? Who is Alex Casey? Who is Tom? Who is Alan?
