I mostly remember this social media app disguised as a game because my girlfriend and I would roleplay Pokemon on this app when I was in community college. I unironically kind of miss it and hope that some of the concepts (like Miis wearing shirts and pants seperately!) get added to a Tomodachi Life sequel

one of the first games I ever owned. I probably wouldn't like it today but for 10-11 year old me who was new to portable video games this game was utterly mindblowing after sitting through lots of Plug-N-Plays and PC edutainment and Barbie games for years beforehand

admittedly, I was not really much of a big fan of the original Red and Blue Rescue Team (blame the fact that I received it after I got the much higher quality Explorers of Time!) so I resisted buying this game for a year

the art style is incredible and without a doubt one of the best parts of the game after some serviceable 3D from Gates to Infinity and Super Mystery Dungeon. there's a lot of great quality of life content here and is absolutely the Mystery Dungeon game I'd recommend to new players

that being said, there seems to be no new translation, meaning the dialogue is as stiff and unnatural as it was when Red and Blue Rescue Team was released stateside back in 2006 and is particularly jarring when new content is accompanied by better dialogue. the loss of the neutral attack is pretty bad too

I'm a bit divided as to whether or not this game is worth $60. but it's still good fun at the end of the day

this review is about the PC release since that one is the game I actually played

anyways the game is nice. a lot of fun cute activities to do as you attempt to stop whatever the villain's name is. I mostly liked the cake decorating part and taking care of kitten part as a kid

cute game with a really great story about what it means to be a hero. I love the way singing is implemented but I do wish they could occasionally bring some mechanics back more often

this review is about the PC release since that's the version I actually played

some of the platforming is admittedly kind of wonky and the voice acting is.... eh. but the puzzles were pretty nice for 10 year old me. kinda sucks that certain mice mean that one puzzle in particular gets softlocked but it is what it is I guess

spent part of early summer 2019 just playing this game. it's very nice and chill, but I do wish there was more postgame. really excited for Slime Rancher 2

I like it a lot more than I ever did Minecraft, I can say that for sure

some of the spritework is very rough around the edges (like the player characters) but I remember spending many evenings over the course of many years just playing with friends. I remember it as a game I would be excited to come home and play in high school and then again in community college. I've bonded with some of my closest friends just through playing this game. I owe a lot to this game even if I'm disappointed they still went with that horrible Pewdiepie collab

I don't really think anyone can deny what an incredibly monumental game was, both for the indie gaming scene and for the industry in general. the art style is iconic and spawned many, many lookalikes today

that being said I don't think I've ever gotten into it the way you're "supposed" to. usually when I make a Minecraft world I just make a little ranch/zoo, collect every animal I can and then stop playing only to repeat the cycle when I remember it exists like 6 months later

infinitely more enjoyable and interesting than every Fire Emblem game ever made in every way that matters. still dropped the game after 2 hours

this was the first game I played and completed upon moving to a temporary home after my childhood home burned down. as someone who loves monster collection I was delighted in the amount of the interactivity you could have with the Bugsnax - take your camera out an observe, catch them, and eat them if you want!

but what blew me away were the residents of Snaxburg, and that's not something I can say every day about a monster collecting game. each and every character feels realistic and compelling in their own way, even when they have some of the silliest names I've ever seen

I do wish the game was a bit longer and that we could've interacted more with some of the last Grumpuses you meet in the game. perhaps a DLC or sequel can change that...

a fantastic RPG with some incredibly heartwarming characters and some of the most clever puzzles I've seen in an RPG. stop reading this and just play this game already

one of the few Earthbound-inspired RPGs that doesn't feel like they reskinned Earthbound while forgetting the humanity aspect.

this game is VERY good but is incredibly dark. it has humor that hasn't aged very well in some spots, but most of the humor is spot on without forgetting the grim and dangerous world of Olathe you're in as you're trying to save your daughter and knows when to be more serious

it's really fun to get access to a lot of different party members and check out exactly how to build your party. the game is generally well balanced and grinding is never a requirement, even if the combat itself is rather simple. the overworld gameplay is rather interesting too for an RPG Maker game. it's a great game, but it's not for the faint of heart in the slightest

sure, this isn't really as good as the original. but this game endeared me to Rando in a way that Painful did not and the OST rules, so

LISA has spawned many fangames since its release back in 2014. in 2021 I would probably say that this is one of the only fangames worth playing, both as a fangame and on its own (and yes, I'm including Pointless in this assertation)

maybe I'm just biased towards road trip stories. but the interactions between Beltboy, Cyclops, and Lanks feel like they would slot right in to the world of Olathe, and the Lovelies are interesting. combat is still balanced and the world is just.... fun!! the multiple different endings help give perspective to each character as well, making them still feel real

Pain Mode and the Roddy route make this game even beefier than it already is for a fangame, too. I would absolutely recommend playing this if you're a fan of the original Painful game
