This game was a slight improvement over years 1-4 but unfortunately not enough to pull it out of the average rank. The added dueling into the gameplay which, while better than the original, still becomes stale fairly quickly. The move set is still not differentiated enough to make it worth playing with multiple different characters making the characters once again just feel like skin swaps. While the overall experience was slightly better the story somehow became even worse. There were multiple times me and my wife said if we didn’t know the Harry Potter story we would have no clue as to what was going on.

Just like years 1-4 I had an ok time playing this but if I wasn’t playing with my wife and we didn’t love Harry Potter I’m not sure how much I would have enjoyed this game. Even as a big Harry Potter fan I just cannot give this game any higher than an average score. If you are into Harry Potter you’ll at least have a decent time but if you don’t know anything about Harry Potter sit back and read the books or watch the movies before playing this otherwise I can’t see where there would be much enjoyment.

.

I actually think this is better than 1-4, mainly because I get to be bellatrix lestrange

This is a more mechanically tuned, slightly better sequel to Years 1-4 with way less annoying bits to it. There's new visible indicators of what collectibles are in the overworld after you beat the game, no mandrakes and pixies, a more Overworld friendly Polyjuice Potion, an Expecto Patronum with a faster cast time so battling Dementors isn't The Worst, and more little tune-ups of this nature. This game also contains the best portrayals of the big story deaths of Harry Potter (they changed a stabbing into someone being crushed to death underneath a mountain of garbage, a fitting metaphor for the current state of this franchise under the iron claws of Queen Terf) so you are, indeed, playing a slightly better version of the 6.5/10 game that was Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4.

It's still a 6.5 out of 10 game at its core, but it's a less janky 6.5 out of 10.

Unfortunately, the trade off is you're playing through the four David Yates Harry Potter films now and playing through his versions of Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince are rough. Years 1-4 were charming little kid's movies with some iconic scenes that made for some good video game levels; Years 5-7 are when JK Rowling tricked herself into thinking she was writing an epic political drama about fascism or whatever the fuck so, even with Legos, you get this dreary experience where half of the collectibles are characters like "Yaxley" and "Pius Thicknesse".

With that in mind, this is still the best way to experience Deathly Hallows because Harry Potter gets to dropkick the Voldemort baby while he's in purgatory.

A Lego adaptation of the last four Harry Potter films. This felt a little on the short side, especially with how long the last few books/films were.

This game has a weird obsession with dancing skeletons for some reason, but that wasn't enough to emphasize the unending misery I felt playing it until one of them started dabbing.

I played this as part of the LEGO Harry Potter Collection. It's largely the same experience as the first game but with a lot of quality-of-life improvements. At least this time I didn't come across any bugs or glitches, so was able to get to 100% completion. As with the previous game, it can be difficult to know how to get around the hub area, and it's bigger this time around. I ended up needing to find an image online to know how to navigate through the various zones.

Plusy: klimat Harry'ego Pottera, niezłe poziomy, humor
Minusy: kilka błędów, to znów to samo Lego

Amo jogos Lego, e esse daqui tá mais lindo que o primeiro

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 continues the charming tradition of LEGO games, adapting the darker, later installments of the Potter saga into a brick-filled adventure. Fans will delight in exploring iconic locations like the Ministry of Magic and witnessing key story moments with LEGO humor sprinkled in. However, the focus on combat can feel a bit repetitive, and its simplified puzzles might not offer much challenge to seasoned gamers. Still, it's a solid choice for younger players or those primarily seeking lighthearted fun in the world of Harry Potter.

el god of war desearia llegar tan lejos como llegó este juego (en mi corazón)

Travelers Tales should honestly be extremely proud of the work they've done bringing so many iconic franchises that have had there own mediocre games, and toppling over all of them with there brilliant formula of comedic and simple storytelling and fun and accessible gameplay. Without lego games I would not be a the... cough cough, gAmEr, I am today.

Now, it's a little better than 1-4, but it still really sucks. Because the spells are such an awful mechanic

As a continuation, it polishes the gameplay a bit but mostly plays similar to its predecessor. At the very least its consistent and we still have the characters communicating through sign language (or something like that).

They put the mobile port on PsP.
First game I ever got 100% on tho. Child me was very proud.

Yeah yeah JK Rowling is a terf, Harry Potter sucks, etc. But I kinda... love what this was trying? Most of the game's cutscenes outright mock the hokum twists and turns that the later books took (Harry straight-up laughs off a few character deaths - that whips sack), and it tries a few new stylistic interpretations of the original LEGO game formula that I enjoyed.

We beat this right after I finished Like A Dragon, and I gotta say, this game's 20 second "Voldemort died lol" ending cutscene felt GOOD after numbing my arse on three hours of high-quality yakuza melodrama.

The gameplay is still essentially just bull-in-a-china-shop smash-and-grab, but it feels like it would be a great game to teach young kids how video games work. I'm 30 years old and struggled with some of the puzzles, by the way.

Also, are the LEGO games built on some fork of id Tech/the Quake engine? This game uses a LOT of Quake noises for its spells. Just wish Harry did the Ranger's HUP when you jumped around.

Fuck J.K. Rowling. Do not continue to financially support the Harry Potter brand.

Anyway, compared to Years 1-4, this feels "just okay" to me--an unfortunate step down from one of the highlights of classic-style Lego games. The QOL improvements are nice but are applied to stories that much like their respective movies, are drifting away from the whimsical initial selling points of the series and towards more dour circumstances--something I just don't think these games benefit from. It's worth finishing the story after investing in it with Years 1-4, but the 100% reward is now a stud fountain, don't bother going for it.

Ok, so compared to the first game, I actually think this one is slightly better. Its still lacks in a lot of area's such as characters basically all doing the same thing and the fact a lot of characters have different outfits for filler so changing characters is pretty much pointless...which is why they practically give you the Voldemort and Bellatrix unlock right at the last level which is nice I guess. But it is a Harry potter game following the last game's formula and had limited characters so I guess thats just how it is. However, short list of how this game improves on its predecessor, much better looking (obviously), I like the duelling aspect although I think they used it a bit too much and I love the spell changes I thought they were much neater then the older setup. I think they did the levels a lot better then the other game two. Thats about all I have to say, its worth a play although its not the best lego game out there by a long shot.

This game was absolutely an improvement from the first installment. This time I was able to complete the game 100% without any game breaking bugs. In fact I didn't encounter much bugs while playing this game while the first installment was just full of bugs. This game had a lot more gimmicks compared to the first one, most of them were fun but the one i was really annoyed about was Aguamenti. Main reason why I hated this spell was because it was bugged at times. There was a point I was afraid I wouldn't be able to 100% because of this spell while getting one of the collectibles the water meter wasn't going up. Other than that I didn't really have any other complaints about this game. Overall this game was more enjoyable than the first LEGO Harry Potter game.

Vai se fuder jogo bugou no year 6 e não tinha jeito nenhum de avançar na história 🖕

Just as fun as the first game, in that I really didn’t care for it besides fucking with NPCs

An excellent follow up to previous game and super fun to play, while I have never been that into the Harry Potter books or movies this is an exception, it improves on the previous game in all the right ways. Simply phenomenal.

I was expecting just a literal continuation from the last game, with the only difference being new areas, but I was wrong. Not by a lot, but still. They added a couple of things like adding more unique abilities (such as Arthur being able to repair stuff) and some quality of life changes, the biggest and best by far for me was how the new polyjuice potion works.

Unfortunately most of the flaws of the original remain, like your team members getting in the way of the annoying targeting system. Bosses are still one of the worst parts, but now instead of all bosses being a simple "press square and toss item back" minigame they've added a new boss method, which is a dueling system that's pretty neat at first but ends up being way too slow and easy to do it as much as this game does. And to make it worse, boss fights will tend to use a combination of BOTH of these so boss fights are both incredibly easy and even more dragged out than before.

The first mission kinda misleads you into thinking this game will be more daring with new gameplay ideas, as the very first mission involves a flying segment unlike anything seen in the first game. It never shows up again even at places it could have (thestral flight to London?), and the amount of tweaks in gameplay remains way too small, with most stages still just being "click things until you are able to use wingardium leviosa for the way forward". Even some of the "new" things are just repeats of old ideas, like the new parsletongue system being a 1 to 1 copy of the rune book system, which is still in this game so why bother with both? While it's better than the first in terms of creativity in mechanics, it's still way too low for what it could be, especially when the scope has opened up so much due to all the new types of environments.

And speaking of new areas, this one definitely stands out more in that regard even if it was bound to just due to the nature of the books.

Once again, music pulled from the movies which for me is just an automatic great soundtrack.

The puzzles are still super easy in this game, albeit maybe a biiit harder. But the combat is actually a lot harder, at least when playing solo as it's clear many sections are made for co-op so trying to multitask killing enemies while completing tasks can be pretty tough. The thing is...there's literally no downside to death in this game except losing a bit of money; you just instantly respawn where you were. So even if you do die more than the first game, it only really sets you back mere seconds than it would by not dying.

Decent enough game for a HP fan. Probably best played co-op with a younger person who is less experienced with games though.

The swan's song of the old school LEGO formula that not only expands upon its predecessor with new gameplay additions and locations, but also gives us the last hurrah of the old school humor and cutscenes that were once synonymous with LEGO games.

My sister scratched the disk so I couldn't finish it

Lego games are always fun, even tough I’ve never seen/read any Harry Potter stuff

All the simplicity of a Lego game, but doesn't quite capture the fun of the original. Gamefeel not quite there, especially where vehicles are concerned - and the increased specialisation of each character leads to more tedious levels that the 1-4 game.
