Dumber AI, flatter lighting, and subpar horror makes FEAR 2 a worse product than it's predecessor in a lot of ways. However the action packed ending, detailed environments, and decent weaponry means this isn't totally worth throwing away.

Enjoyed it but can't remember a fair amount of details about it, I know the shotgun was fucking sweet, the story in F.E.A.R. games is so dumb and amazing that I always end up liking it.

the most memorable thing about this game is that it features ghost rape

The original game is almost completely lost here, with most of what's left being transfigured into a bargain bin FPS that is both unflattering and unmemorable.

I like this game more than the first. Yeah yeah, I know, its an unpopular opinion to have, but I feel that the gunplay, graphics, sound design, level design, variety of locations, etc is better in everyway over the original. This game does drag a bit near the end, however its pretty short and really fun for most of its runtime. Highly recommend this underrated classic.

Alright and down goes fear 2!! nowhere near as good as 1 but I still liked it a LITTLE more then I did when I first played this game way back then. Very generic FPS but I honestly really like the world and lore of Fear that I felt like that alone is what kept me going in the end. I still recommend giving it a go as some may enjoy it more then I did just do not expect the masterclass field that FEAR 1 brought.

Not as good as the first game, but that's a given with this franchise.

I remember absolutely nothing of the story.

Like free pizza at an anime convention.

Decent shooter but completely mediocre when measured against his predecessor. It has some good moments but still feels like a hollow and watered-down Fear.

The story is poor and if you are paying attention filled with plot holes while simultaneously ruining/ignoring plot points and characters that made the original game unique.

79/100

Falls short of the dizzying heights of the first F.E.A.R, but still a strong entry in the series and a truly enjoyable experience.

It's okay. FEAR deserved a better sequel.

This game was better than the first one but still didn't quite hit the mark for me. The game play has been improved, with small tweaks here and there to make the overall experience better. Shields for example actually shield all incoming damage rather than only chipping at it in addition to your health. You are limited to 3 health pack instead of 10 but with the improved shield that's no big deal. I rarely died so it didn't really matter.

Jump scares are still garbage though. There was not a single moment in this game that I was actually scared by anything. It's hard to be scared in a world where you're a psychic super soldier with a small arsenal in your back pocket. It was all a little forced and way too predictable.

The story was a little more present than the first. I won't go into detail but there was more going on than "kill the bad guy and watch out for spooky lady". Although I'm still unclear on what Alma is exactly? Is she a ghost? Can she just teleport just outside your field of vision but only when spookily convenient? Not sure.

Overall it was just okay. Good enough for me to zone out and shoot some dudes for a while. Here's hoping the third game is worth it

A mediocre FPS with that classic 2008 action military tough guy feel. A far cry from the unique atmosphere of FEAR 1, but the story is definitely worth playing through just to have more from the FEAR universe.

This game is like 80% mediocre shooter 20% scary and it really should've been the other way around. I really enjoyed the online multiplayer when people still played it.

Definitely a step down from the masterpiece that was the first game, but still pretty solid. A lot less scary, insane ending.

Though it gets mixed reviews, i always have stood by FEAR 2 as a great and worthy sequel to the original, especially in how it built on the combat mechanics and the scripted horror events. Great level design, too. My only real complaint is in how short it felt.

Se perdeu de leve principalmente na parte do terror e prefiro nem comentar sobre a história, o resto ta no mesmo nível do primeiro, continuaçãozinha mixuruca rapaz

Criminally underrated, loses a star for the mech battle.

Looks to be pretty much the same as the first one and I found the first one to be mid. Such a pain in the ass that they decided to obligate you to purchase all of them to play one.
