Seeing this getting revealed made me so excited and this has exceeded my expectations, though not completely breaking it. Its post-game isn't the longest and they did lock the mii central behind NSO which.. why...
But beyond those this is the same great game on the 3DS but with beautiful new graphics and new additions to combat and relationships like the Horse and Outings. Not only that, the new mii maker is flat out one of the best character creators I have ever seen in a video game.
No memes, No bullshit, this is one of my new top 10 Favorite Switch games and I'm so SO happy it was executed so well!

A cute little RPG with that Nintendo quirkiness. Big chunk of my enjoyment comes from the buffed up Mii Maker and subsequently casting my friends and favourite characters in the roles of Miitopia's delightfully weird and wacky scenarios.
Core gameplay has interesting ideas and the same wacky charm, but it's VERY simplistic and can get tiring with how frequently you are required to partake in it. This is especially bad during the final chunk of Miitopia's story, where the game throws quest after quest at you before you can proceed to the final dungeon. It's incredibly blatant padding to stretch out the game time.
Overall, I enjoyed my time, but knowing its a $50 remaster makes me disappointed they did not do more with the combat.

I really liked this game for the first half or so. It already got repetitive during the demo, but the customization and silly conversations were enough to entertain me.
Seriously, the Mii editor is AMAZING.
After some time I got exhausted and just rushed through as fast as I could. There‘s just not enough variety for a game that long. I would‘ve been more than satisfied if it had been just half as long.

I love how deep the Mii creator goes, there's so much you can customize. The main gameplay loop is unfortunately not fun enough to carry the story on as long as it goes; it's fun at first, but feels like watching paint dry after 10-15 hours. Really hoping Tomodachi Life 2 drops with this Mii creator since I think that would warrant a much longer playtime

A very simple and silly RPG that turns out to be much meatier than it looks. This, however, is a bit counterproductive because the story is excessively long and it becomes very repetitive near the end.
Despite that, it has a ton of personality, it's hilarious and it has a few very interesting mechanics and systems that could turn into something brilliant in a potential sequel that makes a better use of them.

Not a masterpiece or anything, the main campaign is way too long, and the gameplay is a bit repetetive. Still though, watching all my favorite characters fuck around and occasionally do things that are actually in character is pretty fun. The hours went by pretty quickly, so I guess the game achieved what it wanted. Harmless, but enjoyable stuff.
