bad to an extremely funny extent, almost worth playing. Along with the later (slightly more competent) treyarch call of duties this game helped create the "waiting for npcs to open doors" stereotype of the call of duty series.

100% on RetroAchievements - Played on PS2 Emulator

Every console-exclusive FPS from this era struggles to feel playable 15-20 years later but this one is particularly bad. Grey, noisy, boring. It's incredible that Treyarch one day managed to outpace Infinity Ward after this pile of crap.

Let's get these out of the way...

The Wii versions of the COD games are a mixed bag. Some are brilliant uses of the controls, some are just gimmicky messes. This is sadly the latter

Had no multiplayer included. Cut I believe one or two levels. Ugly visuals. Controls are wonky. The rowing section in particular is meant to be 30 seconds but took me about 20 minutes due to my inputs not being registered.

It is a decent enough game for old school Cod, but this is not the way to play it. Get it on any other system.

This game is incredible, but unfortunately is the worst classic cod, Call of Duty 1 and 2 are better than this one, probably Call of Duty 3 is the first cod focussed in his characters and not mainly in the WW2, and since its a game that only portrays a single conflict, the variety of scenarios is much smaller, in addition to the game having very unnecessary QTE and several bugs and technical problems, besides taking many elements from Call of Duty 2 Big Red One, there isn't much to say really

Three

As the first CoD game I ever played, nostalgia is heavily at play here, and while there isn't much going on in this game to make it stand out, I nonetheless remember it fondly. While CoD 2 is probably the better game, the campaign in this entry has some solid battle depicted, with a personal approval from me for including the Canadians in Europe, an often forgotten member of the Liberation of Europe. The gameplay is pretty standard Call of Duty overall.

The multiplayer was also a fun time, with a basic class system implemented that was fun to play around with. In the end, it's a pretty forgettable CoD experience, and considering what came next and before it, that's no surprise, but everybody has their first Call of Duty, and this was mine.

Pretty bad cod campaign. Gameplay revolved around going form one shootout to another without much breathing room or any character development. Only variation in gameplay was some vehicle and tank segments which was ok but the controls for the vehicles are quite bad. The tank controls only with the left stick and you do everything expect shooting with the left stick. Levels are very repetitive, Forest, fields, roads, houses, trenches, rinse repeat and that's all of the cod 3 levels. gunplay was also quite weak and the only powerful weapon were the Bren, STG 44, BAR, M1 Garand and Gewehr 43 but you rarely see the STG, Bren and BAR. from memory only 4 levels had these guns and ammo is scarce for these except for the final few levels. Guns have way too much visual recoil and muzzle flash and a lot of times you can't see what you are shooting at and the worst offender is the MP40 which you will be forced to use as the only automatic weapon that has plentiful ammo if you run out of ammo with the guns you spawned with. Overall not as memorable or half as good as cod 2 which had a structured campaign, variations in gameplay, good varied levels with actual colour and better gunplay. 3/10. Maybe 7-8 hours

I was just informed that this game doesn't have a PC release, bringing down a half star

Out of all the CoD games, this sure is one of them. It's fine, I played some of the campaign and found it solid albeit not entirely memorable, and never got around to trying any multiplayer.

It begins like... A level I have already done in COD 1. Ok, you have a passe on this one game. What do you have to offer? An oudated control assignation (it's near awful, for real). What else? Very dark environments... Well, this isn't good. What? You say you want me to play a "hold the train station" phase, fighting an army on my own with my sole sniper rifle? Will do. But rassure me, when you say "Hold the ground for 15 minutes", you don't mean 15 real minutes don't you?

You do. And when I die afterwards, I have to redo the 15 minutes sniping phase. Alright you beat me game.

Good point: There is an important female soldier. It is rare for a COD game.

campanha desse aqui eh muito pica

Tenho muito carinho pela nostalgia, um remake seria muito justo pela sua importância pra geração PS2

This game is a shocking downgrade from all the games prior to it, including the side games, and it shouldn't have.

The Story is that we travel with soldiers from America, Britain, Canada, and Poland as they help to fight in the Battle of Normandy during World War 2. Already the biggest problem with the game is presented to us. Every other game before this focused on multiple World War 2 campaigns, but now they only tackle one, and except it to be as good as games that cover more. Also they don't even do the best they can with it, because they don't focus on the Normandy landings, or the allies actually taking back Paris, only the unknown stuff right before that, and removing the World War 2 footage takes away from the realistic feel of what you are about to go through. It also causes a plothole where Major Ingram is with the british and french resistance for a period of time, but in the first game, he was captured during that time.

The Characters are better than the first two main games, but not as good as Big Red One. Mostly because despite the fact that this game focuses more on characters than anything else, The American is the only campaign that did characters well. The British are good, but the French aren't to nice to them, The Canadians only good character was the Lieutenant, and The Polish are all bland, and didn't get enough levels to know them "2/14 and one of those you spend inside a tank, away from the rest" and there isn't any conflict in between them.

The Graphics are great, the best so far, and hold up very well compared to other games from 2006, although the color scheme of the game does make environments look unappealing and all look the same.

The Gameplay has you first person shooting around Normandy in four different campaigns against the Nazi invaders in France. Although it did bring us QTE's for some close combat, setting charges, and a few great moments. A number of problems with the campaigns include Corporal Keith giving orders to a Sergeant, the jeep as the end of mission three becomes unstuck before the screen fades, they forgot to put the stats of which group you are with before mission 4, how did one German survive being inside an exploding tank? The random soldier ranks return, some of the dates were wrong, how is a crane operational during a battle? The subtitles don't come in until after the lines were already said, the close encounter in mission ten ends in an over the top death, they could have had a level of the Polish taking over Mount Ormel to give more time to the characters but don't, the checkpoints sometimes are extremely unfair to you, and the AI makes your team mates block you, or run past enemies, and have enemies charge at you unrealistically. Also the fact that this takes place in one campaign decreases the items you can use which is terrible in a sequel to two main games that had an extreme variety. Multiplayer is almost good. It is great for including the same enjoyable things from previous entries, and adding the ability to choose what kind of class you are for your team "or yourself". But it does suffer from the lack of a variety of places to fight it due to the campaign's limited locations.

The Music is good, it's not as good as the other games "except for Big Red One" but it does what it tries to achieve, only not very highly.

Call of Duty 3 needs to be liberated by Germany, and any other country that sells it.

Best theme song of the franchise. But the easiest campaign.

its what youd expect from a ps3 exclusive cod

Speaking of forgettable Call of Duty games, we have COD 3. This game is just not memorable. It starts off on a wonderfully chaotic first mission, but from there I tend to forget entirely about the campaign until the final mission, which I don't remember a whole lot about being completely honest. Like I said, kind of forgettable all things considered.

Still a good time with 8 player system link on war.

once again. ANOTHER step up from the previous title yet still didnt age too well.

Não tenho lembrança nenhuma além de "É pika"

It's not a thing you would hear people say now, but I really like the call of duty campaigns. Call of Duty 1 was one of my first forays into modern shooters. It got better with United Offensive and then Call of Duty 2 blowing me away with how well it ported over to consoles. It really gave you the feeling of being a nameless grunt in a horrible situation. Call of duty 3 is the third in the mainline series and I have to say it really misses the mark. Now keep in mind I'm focusing on campaign only, because even though some of these games are still populated in 2023, most of them don't deliver the complete original experience. The campaign seeminlgy changes very little from the previous games. It looks similar, the same weapons and enemies. It feels the same, the controls work as intended. But it's just not as good. It's difficult to put your figure on exactly what they messed up here, but I'll try my best. Firstly, the campaign feels a lot more linear and less open, feeling a bit more like a corridor shooter. Epic battles where you are working which big groups of AI teammates were one of my favorite aprts of 2, and it is really lacking in 3. Yes you have AI teammates, but you often end up ploughing through areas on your own. Small tweaks like the annoying mini games, the less interesting locations, the ammount of time spent in the car and the unskippable cutscenes just seem to detract from the immersive and epic hell that was call of duty 2, and give more of a sloppy feeling. The AI also feels like a step down, both in terms of friendlies and the enemy. I can't recall an instance of a teammate coming to my aid or feeling stuck in a certain corner as the enemies had my number. It just feels average. It's kind of difficult to explain nowadays as COD isn't what it used to be, but going from COD1 and COD2 to this, felt like going from Call of Duty to Medal of Honor or another lesser copy. Still a fine game, but nowhere near the feeling of 2. With the sheer number of COD games on the console, this is definitely one to avoid.

Feels the same as the other 2 games but just bad with the forced sixaxies controls that feel so forced in and slows the gameplay to a halt. Play this on 360 or PC if you can
