Jesus christ, hahaha
This game's plot is so far beyond convoluted, that I just gave up on trying to make sense of it. The gameplay is marginally better than KH1, and some of the levels are cool, but the persistent permeation of the absolutely abhorrent plot makes this game a chore to play.
Oh, and a 4 hour introductory tutorial...fun...

-Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix-
My favourite game on the PS2, I can vividly remember playing this game over and over for months, everything about it is improved and better than 1, a perfect game in the perfect series. This game was already perfect enough, and then they had even more content? Crazy. More bosses, harder challenges, they just keep improving on everything. All-time favourite in the series.
-Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix-
This was pretty ambitous game, 3 full story modes plus 2 secret chapters, that and including all the collectibles to do thats hundreds of hours of content. Ventus, Aqua and Terra's storys are all really enjoyable and fun to play, this game is a great addition to the series.
-Kingdom Hearts Re:coded-
Simliar to 358/2 Days, they just took some of the cutscenes and made them HD, again I feel like this could of been done better though.

This is probably one of the better collections out there if you're looking for great games to play honestly. It has Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, one of the best games of all time, and then also Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix, another straight up great game, as well as a bonus movie for a ds game they couldn't figure out how to remake that has probably one of the most unintentionally funniest lines in the series. Definitely worth playing through if you're interested in Kingdom Hearts, though honestly you could probably pick up the all in one package or the story so far for more value overall. That being said, this collection as I played it is incredibly solid and has two unforgettable experiences in it. Completely worth it in my opinion

New fight mechanics make for a frenzied update of the first game's perhaps rigid to a fault slugging. That is until the boss fights where thought reenters the fore — sorry but Roxas is a more relentless, punishing, and decisive fight than Dark Souls' Ornstein and Smough. My issue is with the despatialisation of the game where the first so radically reduced familiar Disney worlds to clumsy sets in order to channel both the appeal and limitations of nostalgia. It was affectionate and utterly heartbreaking. The tangled levels asked the player to return, to see what they might've missed or maybe just spend more time there. Kingdom Hearts 2 is effectively a long cut scene with interactive bits. The levels are stripped of texture, Sora feels like he's gliding along the floor, and the painted corridors let us know that there is nothing here to return to after the cutscenes are over. Often we will get a cutscene that places us on a path, and there is nothing to do but walk along the path to cue another cutscene. It comes together near the end with a narrative charge that finally 'feels' like something, but really the game begins and ends in its (excellent) boss battles.
