A masterpiece in RPG and third person shooter design, this took everything about the first game and turned it up to 11. While the stakes were not as high, the Elusive Man makes for a fantastic villain and your companions stories this time around are much more engaging and poignant (except Jacob). No other game for me has exceeded the emotional highs and lows of this masterclass, and it still stands on its own.
I don't think there is another Narrative game that I have played to completion more times that ME2 - truly the high point of the series so far. The story telling is second to none, and the combat mechanics far outpace the first game.
Not to say it is perfect. While the suicide run is an incredible capper to the game, the final boss is almost laughable.

Enfim jogão, vale a pena
I am relatively liberal with five-star ratings, but in this case, Mass Effect 2 earns it as a contender for my favorite game of all time. Oftentimes the middle entry of a trilogy is the "weird" one to varying levels of success - ME2 expertly walks that tightrope. It understands that as a middle entry, its role is not to set the story's stakes or to draw together a conclusion. Instead, ME2 focuses on fleshing out the world, introducing factions and characters with well-developed, complementary and/or contradictory agendas. Also, Martin Sheen kicks an immense amount of ass.
I've heard this game called "one of the best rpgs of all time" and after playing it I feel like I have to be missing something. The main cast and their individual missions are generally pretty good, yes, but the main story just isn't. The collectors/reapers are not an interesting enemy and are never really explored and stuff kind of just happens to create drama. It feels like there had to have been different writing teams working on the character missions and the main "plot" missions. The gameplay is a generic 7th gen third person cover shooter and hasn't aged very well. Thane and Mordin are my goats though shoutouts to whoever came up with them raddio out
while i've seen some critiques that this one doesn't really have a main plot, this is still the best of the trilogy for me.
the cast of characters just can't be matched and i loved the aspect of recruiting all of them and eventually gaining their loyalty and i liked being rewarded for getting to know them.

I laughed, I cried, I screamed and I shitted
masterpiece of a game, the music is too good. well written characters... mostly (coughjacobcough) the story is insane and even though its EVIL and CRUEL I think it's pretty cool how some decisions REALLY end up affected the end game (<person who got people killed and was so mad bc of that)
