so I like pacman quite a bit but it never managed to grab me due to it being pretty linear this basically solves all those issues and makes pacman truly shine I think this fits so well for a roguelite my only issue was that 100%ing gets a bit tedious if you wanna get it over with but as a pick up and play arcade-y roguelike game it's amazing
One of the best ways on how to turn a glitch into a game concept. With its varied lineup of powerups, you have to traverse an endless maze while escaping from a kill screen while at the same time avoiding and sometimes eating ghosts. It's quite entertaining, it features skins and a multiplayer mode and sadly only misses in its lack of soundtrack.
[PAC-MAN Museum+ 14/14]
Last game in the collection, and I hate to say that this ain't it.
The game is a good idea on paper - turn PAC-MAN into an endless runner - but it's not executed particularly well. The game just feels like your run is up to really annoying RNG when it comes to ghost spawns and such. I couldn't tell you how many times I died to bad luck with ghosts spawning in a pattern that just corners me in a way I just can't escape from. The only recourse is leveling your power ups until they're totally OP... which is a miserable grind that requires you to grind out randomized missions to get randomized (and usually paltry) coin drops. The whole game just devolves into a randomized slog in no time flat when you're trying to get any decent scores. Also, this is more of an issue with Museum+, but the fact that you need to max out several power ups for some missions literally doubles the time investment to 100% that game and I hated going for those missions immensely.
Speaking of which, why in the fresh hell is this in Museum+ in the first place??? It's free on mobile devices, and had already been available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC by itself for years by now, which is most of the platforms Museum+ was targeting. Sure, it wasn't on Nintendo Switch, but wouldn't it make more sense to just drop that on the eShop as a standalone downloadable title and add an older, less readily available game like Championship Edition DX instead? What a waste of a slot.

A endless run Pac-Man game with power ups that you can power up with points while doing random challenges for more points. Otherwise it's Pac-Man, with no true end to a level. That said there's a few different skins you can try out both for Pac-Man and the environment. You can be a chicken if you want. Chicken Pac-Man, how can you not like that? It's pretty fun, don't know if it's full price fun but for sale price sure.
A really well put together reinvention of Pac Man which fashions it into a fast paced endless runner. The simple gameplay of navigating a deadly maze works really well on a phone with simple swipes being all you need to dodge and weave around ghosts with a nice variety of challenging patterns. You also get a lot of fun unlockable power ups that mix up the basic gameplay and give you powerful tools to play with. Trying to get as far as you can in the maze is just a great way to waste time.
