Maybe this isn't fun, maybe I'm just too architecturally thick to develop bridges but it feels like it isn't so much based on how physics would work, but how the game expects the one path that can work. You can mess around a bit, but it's a lot of retooling and tinkering to get it right on any given bridge. For me, I think this just showed me this isn't necessarily my genre.
Okay, sew, Poly Bridge is a game I have a very particular feeling towards. As it is, especially in the later game, extremely difficult. Which is where I derive my issues from. Because I do like a challenge in games, something to really wrap my head around or to master, but I feel as if Poly Bridge did a odd job in creating its difficulty. Because while it does curve from easy to hard quite well, it just becomes more and more of a slog to comprehend. Making the game feel really taxing to play, and not enjoyable. Yet on the other hand I am not sure as to what degree my own mental failing in this. I mean I am not a genius, I would even go to say I am pretty average in terms of my thoughts, but I really don't know who this game was made to be played all the way through by; I simply don't see the average person caring to dump time into something that has a negative coefficient in enjoyably, to the insane mind game of creating something that barely functions while being ten times over budget, yet alone being perfect enough to be within said parameters and be stable. I don't know though, perhaps this game wasn't made for me, or I am simply to stupid to understand; but regardless I personally did not really enjoy my time with it overall. I do still recommend it though, just for the fact that it is most likely a case by case situation. Someone might love it, someone might hate it, and I did enjoy the first couple areas quite well.
A bridge builder with a powerful set of tools that allow you to build very impressive slash very absurd bridges, ramps and other contraptions. It's full of quality of life features that help to automate a bit of the bridge building which helps you to focus more on figuring out how to manage the game's appropriately tricky objectives than worrying about making perfect triangles supports. Though it demands a lot of you it also gives you everything you need to get through with some ingenuity. <3
