Whenever I want to play tetris, this is the version I play. It's crisp and snappy, and has plenty of great game modes if you want something different. The backgrounds and animations from Nintendo titles adds a nice charm to it.

Is Tetris DS one of the best methods of playing Tetris ever created? Well, to be frank, absolutly. Its offers many engaging and unique takes on the classic Tetris game mode; as well as offering a flawless version of the original game mode as well. An amazing Nintendo themed design, great music, and an overall amazing gaming experience. I wouldn't go as far as saying its one of the best games of all time, for at the end of the day, it is still another version of Tetris. But it does what it set out to do perfectly. A must play for not only Tetris fans, but anyone.

Okay so I'm normally a Grand Masters player but after a few folks recommending Tetris DS I can see why it's their favorite. The speed ramping is perfectly paced, the NES music and scenery is warm and welcoming, and the variety of modes on display is exceptional.
Combine this with the base marathon mode win condition of 200 lines cleared and you have an incredibly compact Tetris iteration that encourages you to return and replay at your own pace without making you slam your head against the wall.

To this day, Tetris DS stands as one of my favourite official games in the series. From the visual charm to the variety of gamemodes (of which, all teach different practical skills for further play), it's a very important part of Modern Tetris history, in my opinion.
A Tetris game that has an impressive amount of available content, especially for the DS.
I've maxed out the game in marathon mode which took a long, long time, but not that difficult.

It's actually shocking how good this game is. It's Tetris but there are different modes that make this game a whole lot more. Tetris (GB) was a masterpiece in its own right but Tetris DS is pretty much the overshadowed but more talented younger brother in the Tetris family. It's seriously that good. There's still basic modes, but there's also some very fitting modes for the console, namely Push and Touch. Mission mode is also a very fun change of pace, and this can even be played multiplayer. This game does support local and online multiplayer, and does so extremely well even in 2023 over fan run servers.
Its Tetris on the DS. Like I don't feel like I need to defend this score.

Le meilleur Tetris sorti jusqu'à aujourd'hui et surement à jamais. Tellement fun, des graphismes assez stylés, une bande-son très chouette et un mode online qui était tellement top avec quasi zéro lag. Terrible que le online ne soit plus disponible aujourd'hui mais il reste le multi wireless pour s'amuser comme des fous avec des amis en local !

Still the most addicting Tetris game I've ever played. Great mode variety made it fun to push your overall Tetris Points as high as possible by working on modes that you weren't as good at. We spent many wireless multiplayer sessions in this game.
sadly, tetr.io screwed my muscle memory so badly that this is nearly unplayable

Push is unironically the best VS Tetris mode I've seen in a Tetris game.
Honestly feel this is the best iteration of Tetris. The speed is good. It was very easy to play with friends in a group setting. Definitely one of the best modern Tetris titles out there.

Caraio........Tetris é muito bom!
I appreciate how many different modes this game has other than just basic tetris, and even that has a thick Nintendo coat of paint with many different Nintendo properies plastered over everything. Having this many modes means there's a lot to mess around with and a lot to try out, however most of the modes aren't winners so once you've tried everything you're basically just left with regular ass Tetris which is honestly perfectly fine all things considered.
Tetris DS usa da estética vanguardista do NES que revolucionou os jogos que vieram depois. Tetris DS revolucionou os Tetris que vieram depois. Existe um mundo antes e depois de Tetris DS, o "Tetris" do Game Boy não é mais o "Tetris" de hoje. Talvez possa existir um Tetris melhor que Tetris DS, porém, não tem como existir um Tetris melhor que Tetris DS, sem o DNA de Tetris DS.
