I didn't know this game was a decade old. But it recently came to PC and quickly won me over with its' charm and creativity. It's a very simplistic puzzler game that's super addicting. It was hard for me to pull away from it at times with how short and satisfying the games are. The soundtrack is great too.

Being able to see what the character illustration would be for the next number up the chain is pretty much the only thing that kept me playing this game. Can’t tell if this is a genius little design decision from the developers or me just having some form of brain damage.

Todo o "feel" do jogo é perfeito.

swiping eventually starts to feel so numbing

Threes+ on Apple Arcade: An Engaging and Accessible Challenge

Threes+, reminiscent of 2048, offers a unique appeal on Apple Arcade. Despite being a novice gamer, I found the game engaging and user-friendly.

The graphics and sound design are sleek, minimalistic, and high-quality, enhancing the gaming experience. Threes+ skillfully balances difficulty, gradually increasing the challenge that keeps you hooked without inducing frustration.

In conclusion, Threes+ earns an 8 out of 10 in my book, with its accessibility, aesthetic appeal, and cleverly scaled difficulty. It's a must-add to any mobile gamer's library.

the presentation and amount of polish on this one made me so happy. unfortunately much like 2048 I was extremely bad at playing it

also why is this on xbox one

Such a simple number puzzle game, but a very addictive one with a lot of emphasis on strategy. It has a rather notorious clone and its own clones (I remember people saying "why is Xbox trying to sell me 2048?" when Xbox revealed a console port of it at one of their conferences), but the original is still the best.

Mobile gaming hits are usually casual friendly like Angry Birds, Farmville, Flappy Bird, and many others. Most of those games are fairly mindless and don’t require much thought. Along comes, Threes, a game that requires strategy and thinking and that is beyond just a simple tile sliding game.

Threes is simple, minimalistic, and quite charming. The board is made up of 16 tiles. You get 6 random tiles made up of numbers 1, 2, or 3. You must slide these tiles into each other to add them up. If you slide to left everything on the board will slide to the left. This single gameplay element is what departs it from regular slider puzzles. With this in mind, you have to be careful to slide all the tiles in the right direction. Once you get 3 you can slide 3 and 3 together to make 6. Two of those makes 12 and so on. However, the higher number you have the harder it is to get another number like it together to join those two. It’s a brilliant gameplay design that gets extremely addictive.

It takes a lot of practice and sliding randomly won’t get you anywhere. You can easily gridlock yourself without even realizing it if you aren’t careful. Thankfully, Threes is pleasant to look at and listen to. Each number tile has its own voice and caricature and the simple washed out white design is easy on the eyes. Even the music is charming and great to listen to. This is the kind of zen game that Angry Birds or Clash of Clans can’t get to.

Even if you aren’t a fan of numbers or math you are missing out on one of the best mobile games ever made that doesn’t require microtransactions. Even that alone is worth the purchase.

I enjoyed Threes quite a bit, but I found that I would hit a wall where it became impossible for me to progress any further. I'm not sure if this is part of the game's design or I'm just bad. There are few phone games that play as well as this, so if you need something to waste 15 minutes in an Uber, this is a great choice.

Threes! is a "perfect" phone game.

the learning curve and skill ceiling are so incredible that people are still just now seeing the final tile characters after years of playing every day. it feels like a new rubiks cube: a toy that most people will pick up, shuffle around a bit, get stuck, and then promptly put down, but some players will go on to master its inner workings and do incredible feats with it.

The reason why I played this game in the first place was because it was before 2048, which I can see, but it's also not really, when moving things around 2048 is more quicker and everything isn't the same white color.

this is good, another version of 2048. nice

A very addictive number matching mobile game with no in app purchases. Anyone can pickup and play and understand the concept of combing numbers in increments of threes to reach the highest total possible numbers. Classic.

Great presentation and game feel. Fun to slide around from time to time.

A very satisfying simple game with some very nice flavor. Sliding numbers around in order to combine them is real satisfying, and it's fun both to play carefully and also to play cavalierly, swiping nearly randomly based on instinct alone. It's also nice how each number is represented by a different little monster, it's very endearing. That's probably the best way to describe the game overall - it's simple, but very very endearing.

Like 2048, but you need to actually pay attention.

"You definitely can’t finish Threes. It’s not a thing you can do. There’s not even—like in many endless games—an amount of content you can see before you’re done, unless you definitely count seeing all the high numbers (who do have a bit of personality/back story?) as finishing it. That wasn’t going to happen."

A simple, addictive, masterpiece.

It comes down to this: I don’t want to keep playing. Threes! pleases move-to-move but doesn’t grip me. It’s slick, but I don’t care. A single game’s too long, and I’m never sure how I’m doing until it’s too late. Luck matters too much, or not enough, and after a few hours, I’m done.

Threes! feels incomplete. The idea of collapsing units into smaller spaces is interesting, but score-chasing doesn’t feel like the right focus. I wonder whether its many clones suggest not only that the core idea is compelling but that something’s also missing. Not that they know what.
