Good DLC with a great amount of content. Not a huge fan of most of the new characters, but the new stage is really different than the ones in the main game, which is something I really appreciated.

DLC comprada, jogo base no Xbox Game Pass. Legacy of the Moonspell funciona em trazer mais conteúdo pra Vampire Survivors, mas achei meio meh no geral. O mapa não é super legal (eu acabo querendo ficar no mesmo lugar ao invés de super explorar os labirintos todos), não tem muita progressão além de ir pegando personagem/evolução nova.
Eu gostei mesmo só de 1 arma (Silver Wind/Festive Winds) e 2 personagens (Miang e Megalo Menya), mas o preço é tão pequeno que não é como se não valesse a pena.

This review comes after finishing the game's second DLC, thus leading me to compare it to the latter.
This DLC adds a beautiful setting and fantastic and fun creatures. That said, being precisely the first DLC, I was not quite sure what could be hoped for from these. New characters, weapons and two settings (I think) are added in this DLC.
Finished 100%, it adds a more of the same to the base game. Unfortunately, the second DLC is so much better that this one unfortunately comes out less good. But in the end, it costs less than a Starbucks coffee! In short, get it!

There’s nothing revolutionary with Legacy of the Moonspell, but it’s more Vampire Survivors and that’s hard to be upset about.
Legacy of the Moonspell adds more to Vampire Survivors for a very low asking price. If you're getting the main game, you might as well get this at the same time.
Interesting new characters to try! Nothing crazy added that I've seen so far, but it's been fun!

Still worth getting with how cheap the price is. But I'm not a fan of most new weapon or characters, and the new map, while cool conceptually, really just gets more in the way of the gameplay during the later half of the run.
Sadly my October gaming festivities have been pretty underwhelming this year, so I figured I'd make things a little better by playing a game I already know kicks ass. Legacy of the Moonspell continues that ass-kicking tradition with some really cool characters and weapons. I can't really analyze or critique anything here, it's fuckin' Vampire Survivors. It rules.
The first DLC for Vampire Surivors and the larget map (at the time). Having a detailed map unlike the large plains that you would explore in the main game was nice and the new slew of characters and how you have to play each of them and max their weapons to unlock the next made replayability high and brought a lot of great items to the game.
I had a good time with this content. I really thought it was interesting how parts of the level felt really different and got more difficult depending on where you were. I also liked the aesthetic of it with the more Japanese style.
No sé, existe, sin más. Completamente innecesario.

Legacy of the Moonspell is both light in content and price. You've got a new big map, new characters, and new weapons. My favorite thing about it is the (weird) Japanese setting including new monsters like oni, kappa, and a very neat gashadokuro (has there ever been a bad game with one in it?). Characters are alright, some are fun, but you'll probably play them only once for novelty. You can also unlock one who is basically invulnerable: Vampire Survivors always had a "throw it out the window" approach to game balance, but in this case it's "shoot it and throw it out of the plane for good measure". It's basically the "You win" character. Weapons are a mixed bag. There are a few fun ones, but they're mostly forgettable.
All in all, as a content update, it's fine. Nothing special, and if you have a few issues with the base game (like I do) it won't resolve them. But it's fine (and very cheap!).

For how simple it is, Vampire Survivors already has a lot of depth, but the new map does add some interesting wrinkles. Mt. Moonspell is more designed as a stage, with regions and different monster spawns for the locations, it certainly adds more and could be something to explore further in the future of this genre.

as of january 22, 2023, i have platinumed vampire survivors. it took me 58 hours. all i can confirm is that the formula for this style of game gets really boring when you get overpowered so easily. the only reason i kept going is because i am a freak for unlocking things.
cool to have a more in depth map to play on and the new characters and weapons were neat too
More content for $2? sign me up. With the base game included I only paid $6 for hours of cheap addicting gameplay.
