I dunno, I understand why this game is so loved, but I didn't like it that much. The art is great, just like the music, but I found the combat getting repetitive and the enemies way too annoying to fight. Also the story really didn't interest me at all, the constant dialogue wearing thin on me. Still, for the price I paid for the game it was worth it for the 5 hours or so it lasted.

Combine isometric perspective, a fantastic soundtrack, beautiful visuals, captivating narration, and solid gameplay and you get the wonderful package that is Bastion.

The gameplay is decent, but the music, narration, and story really seal the deal. I think this was the first game to make me cry, and I really fucking cried my heart out over the finale with Zulf at the end.

The voiceover is really really good. Other than that, pretty average platform fighter that reminds me a little of an arcade game.

Man, the idea of a game having a narrator blew our tiny minds back in 2011.

Un caso en el que puedo ver todas las virtudes de un juego pero no me entra. Es precioso, el toque del narrador es ingenioso, el sistema de combate es profundo y variado...

Pero me he tenido que forzar algo para acabarlo. Tal vez no era el momento.

This game is downright gorgeous. The art and music are wonderful, the level design is interesting as it builds as you explore. A wonderful story as you slowly put the pieces together. Great use of a silent protagonist with a charming narrator. The final level was just brilliant, with 2 choices to make. I just loved this game.

probably my least favorite of the supergiant games, but still very much worth it! soundtrack is great as usual and particularly haunting this time around.

Un clásico indie, de los primeros que jugué si no me equivoco. Un juego a prueba de fuego.

The music is really, really good.

Pretty good but the combat needed a bit more spice.

The first of Super Giant Games massive W's

is it possible for supergiant to make a bad game? i've yet to see any evidence otherwise

Bastion is a combination of good art, music, atmosphere, amazing narration and a decent story. The gameplay is good enough for the length of the game, with a little bit of variety and some room for mastery, but it doesn't really have much of replay value. The game has more than enough to offer for its price, and even if you do not love it I would say it is more than worth the money for the experience it provides.

One of the first indie games to make it big. Doesn't stand out much these days.

Sort of a victim of its era in a way (the kinda meaningless choose-an-ending bit, that is), but still a game I've enjoyed replaying, thanks in large part to Logan Cunningham's performance.

Goddamn brilliant. The gorgeous watercolour paintings and the sheer likability of the narrator are what push it through something to something special for me. The story is simple yet filled with depth and nuance, telling a tale of those affected by loss and hardship, as well as exploring what happens to a world ruled by hate and prejudice.

The gameplay is damn solid too, and the short length allows for a ton of replay value. Loved it.

Si coges este juego y lo separas en sus distintos componentes, ninguno de ellos brilla especialmente, pero a la hora de juntarlos encajan todos ellos a la perfección y te cuentan una historia genial adaptada con precisión al gameplay.

not my fave supergiant game, but the sequence that plays with the song "mother, i'm here" has stuck with me

It's hard for me to rate this because it was a LONG time ago that i played it, i don't remember it exactly, but it was super exciting, very charming, a wonderful beautiful game

i can't prove it tho

At release, this was kinda the king of indie gaming and rightfully so.

I couldn't get into the gameplay but the soundtrack is a banger

i liked it but idk it feels kinda shallow like a mobile game in some ways

A beautiful story, with gameplay that's solid if a bit simple.
