For DLC its very good. Great locations, great fights and at times its downright hilarious

Who thought combining Borderlands with Dungeon and Dragons would work so well? Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep is set in a fantasy world from the board game that the characters are playing, with Tiny Tina acting as the board master. The storytelling has no right to be this good, with fantastic, witty writing as the characters playing the board game narrate your adventure, with the hilarious Tiny Tina being at the centre of it all. How the narrative breaks the 4th wall is incredibly clever, as Tina dynamically changes the world and questline itself as she makes up the rules of the game on the go. However, there is a more serious undertone as the campaign shows how Tina is in grieving over the loss of one of her friends in Borderlands 2, and 2K does a surprisingly competent job of portraying Tina’s stages of grief without compromising the light-hearted tone of the campaign.

The campaign itself is really well paced, with a whole host of varied fantasy locations that take inspiration from some of the best media in the genre. This leads to some great environmental design and visual variety, with an impressive attention to detail as almost all assets in the game have been overhauled to fit in with the fantasy theme. Moreover, the soundtrack and audio design are fantastic. The campaign itself does a good job of mixing up the endless shooting galleries we’ve come to expect with Borderlands, with puzzles and traversal, but there are still a few areas where it just felt like the game was throwing wave after wave of enemies at you for the sake of padding out the length rather than to provide a challenge. The enemy variety does somewhat make up for this, but I still wish that these encounters were more engaging, with less bullet spongey enemies. Even though there are lots of enemy types, the majority of these are quite basic with simple attack patterns. I wish that 2k took more advantage of the fantasy theme by creating more wacky enemies like the necromancers and mimic monsters. Outside of the main quest there is a tonne of side quests to complete, these vary in quality but do at least provide the player with a reason to return to the world after the main questline is over.

I had a tonne of fun with Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, enjoying it even more than Borderlands 2 itself. Its by no means perfect, but the excellent storytelling, world building and main questline make it well worth your time.

Wholeheartedly better than the main game, in my opinion. Great writing, fun locations, and lots of nods for D&D fans.

PIFIA SE TE CAE EL ARMA Y TE PARTES LOS DEDOS, ACTO SEGUIDO ONESHOT

"This is how DLCs or sequels should be made: by avoiding the 'more of the same' formula. No sameness here, it's a great addition, with a lot of humour and unique gameplay. One of the greatest DLCs in recent years, completely surpassing the base game. After it was over and I was pushed back to the main campaign once again, I couldn't shake the feeling that it was like I had just experienced some meraviglioso homemade spaghetti in a buffet full of store bought pasta " - IGN Italy

The precursor to Wonderlands and what a precursor it was, I just wish we had the original Vault hunters in that game like we do here. Not that Andy Samburg and Wanda Sykes aren't a funny duo to have, but it just felt right with the original cast.

Playtime: 9 Hours
Score: 8/10

Finally finished this DLC only now in 2022, even though I have replayed Borderlands 2 a dozen times I never finished this DLC, as no matter what level I was going in, the enemies would always be overpowered and I could never beat it. Fast track to now that Tiny Tina Wonderland is releasing, they rereleased this DLC as its own standalone expansion game, which is how I finally played all the way through and beat it.

The standalone version starts you at level 1 and you get 2 skill points per level as opposed to 1, which makes the leveling process much quicker and makes you more equipped to deal with the later enemies, but you can obviously play this normally as part of DLC for the main Borderlands 2 game.

I can finally see why this DLC is the most beloved of the whole series as its really cool to have the Borderlands formula mixed with DnD like roleplaying. The music as well is amazing and evokes fantasy RPG vibes, especially the main town theme. The story for this DLC also serves as the best epilogue to Borderlands 2's main story, and how Tina deals with the consequences of Handsome Jack's actions. The story was overall well done and it was nice to experience as a Borderlands fan.

Only real compliant I have is Handsome Jack who is the villain for this one again, barely gets any great lines or scenes like he did in the base game, and is more an afterthought villain, like they couldn't think of a new one. Also while this is more geared towards the standalone version then the original add on one, the loot progression mostly sucks, as a lot of the guns I picked up weren't all that great and I only picked up 2 legendries in my playthrough, with one being useless and not for my playstyle. But overall, no matter which way you play this, its worth a playthrough!

Estupendo DLC, expandiendo sobre lo que hace Borderlands bien dandole su propio giro, sin estirarse de mas en sus misiones y tocando la fibra sentida sensible con infinitas referencias a TTRPGs.

Good enough to get its own game, so it speaks for itself

It's the best DLC for BL2 so far (not saying much I know). The story fits in with the style you can expect for a borderlands game. The music is good as well. As usual a lot of the enemies are a pain to fight with Named Orcs and Crystal Skeletons being full of derp design. There is also a crushing platform "puzzle" near the end that's all kinds of stupid as well.

De longe uma das melhores dlc's do game

Aside from The Last of Us: Left Behind and Bloodborne: The Old Hunters, this is my favorite piece of DLC ever released, and it still holds up extremely well. Insanely creative and fun with a genuinely emotional, heartfelt core. This is the gold standard when it comes to Borderlands DLCs.

Some frustrating side missions at times, but a very creative and amusing DLC that works perfectly into the Borderlands world

Amazing DLC. Everything in Borderlands 2 peaked here, especially the writing.

A sick and twisted thing about me is that I enjoy the writing of Anthony Burch

Borderlands 2's gunfeel remains excellent even now, and Assault on Dragon Keep may be some of the most tolerable writing the game managed in its lifetime

A few weird difficulty spikes soured this a little for me, but overall it was a lot of fun, and I ended up shredding pretty hard by the end

20 en inciativa: le pego en la cara

For my money, the only piece of emotionally effective writing that Gearbox has managed in the entire Borderlands franchise. They're always so focused on whacky, inconsistent humor that they sometimes forget that there's an interesting world of likeable characters that they can use to tell thoughtful stories with. I still have reservations about the gameplay of Borderlands generally, but this is probably the best bit of content in the franchise in my eyes.

If Tiny Tina has million number of fans I am one of them. If Tiny Tina has ten fans I am one of them. If Tiny Tina has only one fan that is me. If Tiny Tina has no fans, that means I am no longer on earth. If the world against the Tiny Tina, I am against the world.

Really unique for its time. story wise it's great even if the real underlying story is only in snippets. really neat retelling of the main game through the perspective of a charming character. map design kinda sucked though but I liked the concept it brought. the magic broomsticks were more creative than the standard Skeleton, Orc, Knight, and Dwarf enemy type they brought in. wish they tried more to subvert expectations for this DLC

my favorite borderlands content ever, easily. so fun and entertaining, beautiful looking and adore the music. also THIS is what DLCs should be, actually different content, story and changes to gameplay while still having meaning for the characters of the base story (not just paywalling content that belonged in the base game)

seria perfeito se não fosse a bosta da bossfight contra o dragão na ponte Jesus amado que negócio desgraçado de ruim

A really nice DLC. Lots of fun.

It is a great game to play with your friends for a while and just drop it. I got the game so free on a sale btw.

What I might call the quintessential Borderlands 2 experience, as it is like a perfect vertical slice of everything thats good about Borderlands (characters, loot, funny enemy variety, lush environments) with none of the boring parts (monotonous desert environment, bad pacing)

Definitely the best expansion in the whole series. It's got a lot of fun humor, riffs on D&D, and very comical dialogue. It also gives a new variety of environments, which helps to create an interesting atmosphere for this session of Bunkers and Badasses. Great, poignant story to boot, dealing with loss.
