This was solid! Extremely fun gameplay and a great Zelda tribute!

Una delicia de crossover que combina a la perfección la estructura y el universo de un Zelda 2D con las mecánicas de NecroDancer. Me hace muy feliz que exista este juego. Más cosas así, Nintendo, por favor.

played the demo of this lately. i dont have the money for the full game but i liked what i played a lot

A neat little game that just isn't for me. I'm not super great at the gameplay and while I know you can make it not quite as rhythm based that feels like that's missing the whole point! So I can't give it a super detailed review. However, the spritework is gorgeous and the music is great, so I'll give it a bunch of points for those.

It's wild how they almost invent an entire new genre with Crypt of the Necrodancer, and it's so good that Nintendo lets them play with their IP. A unique experience that is 100% worth experimenting with.

It's this easy to let you play as Zelda, stop making up excuses.

Not as good as the original Necrodancer. The beat detection was so unreliable that I had to turn it off, and the game was way too easy and short without it, revealing how actually sparse in content it was. Didn't innovate in gameplay very much.

Amazing game with great music to play along to. Lost Woods and Final Boss music both slap hard. Still need to finish Octavo's path.

This was a really good crypt spin off with Zelda, bangin ost and I could actually finish it.

Crypt of the Necromancer is a goddamn masterpiece, but this... hoooo boy.

The move from a rogue-lite to a fully explorable world doesn't really fit right - due to the size and the lack of anything to do but kill things, a lot of the world becomes essentially needless, as why waste time & resources clearing a screen just to get a probably-useless item? The game only fell into place for me within the dungeons, which were essentially just standard levels from CotN. When you've got to work the space with enemies and projectiles in conjunction with your weapons - beautiful stuff.

Actually, the amount of weapons/items also seems bit much. A lot of them I just didn't use as other's seemed to do the same thing in fights (why use the Boomerang over the Longshot?).

Even the soundtrack is so-so compared to the godly OST from Crypt - yeah, some of them sound good but you'll be hearing them so often they quickly fade.

At it's core it's still a good game, but I just don't think it achieves everything it could with this mash-up.

It’s still a bit hard to believe Nintendo let an indie studio make a game in its mainline franchise. The fact that this game can be considered as one of the best in that franchise is just an icing on a cake.

Still shocked this game exists, and it's really damn fun. Builds a lot on the mechanics of Crypt of the NecroDancer in a way that makes a lot of sense. I played pretty much exclusively as Link my first playthrough, planning to go back and play as Zelda and Cadence soon, seems to have a lot of replayability.

Biggest criticism is that the main mode actually has the inverse of a difficulty curve; the game starts out challenging and intense, but you soon get so many power ups and potions and buffs that by the end of the game you can pretty much just tank through everything without much thought. It's sad that early on I felt encouraged to learn enemy patterns, whilst by the end of the game putting in any effort to learn new patterns felt unnecessary.

In general it was pretty fun and charming, though, and this re-envisioned Hyrule was a lot of fun to explore. Worse than Crypt from a gameplay perspective, but the added flavour makes the experience worthwhile regardless.

Maybe not worth 25 bucks, BUT, the soundtrack slapped, the gameplay was easier to pick up on then the bit ive tried of Necrodancer, and it was fun Zelda type stuff. Brace Yourself really got it here.

A fun little Zelda rhythm game with a fantastic soundtrack. Depending on how bad you are at rhythm games your experience can vary wildly, I died so much in the first hour I almost shelved it but sticking with it was worthwhile. My biggest complaint would be the fact that the map is randomly generated which feels really weird for a Zelda game and makes 100% a bit of a chore.

this game is basically a loveletter to people who are already necrodancer fans, and is a nice little side game for people who are fans of zelda. it takes the elements of necrodancer and puts it into a zelda fashion so it has a much larger, more open world compared to the linear dungeon layout of necrodancer, which works almost TOO well with the gameplay style. like with necrodancer, you're still going to need to be rhythmically able to be able to play this game properly, as the beatless mode practically turns it into a very weird chess-like game of zelda. the game is even more replayable than necrodancer is, and has more polish and better sprite art, along with original music and fantastic remixes of existing zelda songs. if you're a zelda fan, play the demo to see if you're into it, and if you're a necrodancer or rhythm game fan, absolutely get it

Really cool that Nintendo let an indie developer play around with one of their biggest IP. I hope they continue to do stuff like this, although I'd like to see them loosen the reins even more for future developers to make bolder choices.

In a word, sublime. The gameplay took some getting used to as someone who'd only barely touched Crypt of the Necrodancer in the past, but it was a damn good time from there. Awesome soundtrack, but for an unknown reason it never got a proper release.

Had quite a bit of fun with it.
Great music, fun combat and doesn't overstay it's welcome.

Really neat! Feels surprisingly like a full 2D Zelda, and doesn't outstay it's welcome. The DLC is... less good. Felt much more haphazardly designed.

Hylians. Beats. Dance Dance Revolution.

When I first bought this, I though it was just sort of like DLC for Crypt of the Necrodancer or something. But, surprisingly, it's a full fledged game. There are TONS of remixes in this game and all of the songs I heard were great. I'm kind of bad at rhythm games so it took a while to get used to but this was a lot of fun to play.

Pretty fun version of CotN with Zelda characters. The story is simple, but fun.

Más de esto por favor, aparte que la banda sonora es agiladamente buena.

(Aparte si algo nos ha enseñado esto es que Nintendo debería colaborar más a menudo con developers indie)
