God, what an improvement from Crash 2. The levels are incredible, never felt unfair or annoying outside maybe two of them. The bosses are actually fun in this game too, which was a big problem with not just the second game, but the first as well. This and Crash 1 are currently tied for me as my favorite crash game, but this might be the game that takes that spot.

It's exactly the same as it's previous part. Maybe slightly better in some aspects

I actually liked the original version of this game a lot more. More specifically, the new ski controls really ruin this one for me. It's such a tedious section to go through now and really breaks the flow that the original had. Other than that, just as good.

I was hoping this could be an A+ if it fixed my issues with Crash 2. It did. The gameplay was smoother in some places and I thought the finale gave a challenge and the ending didn't feel anticlimactic because of that. It also keeps the charm that Crash 2 had and barely changed a thing. Then why isn't it a five and why don't I prefer this over the second one? It's because there are too many gimmick levels, some with wonky gameplay and controls and the actual platforming levels are a bit too easy and bland. I have no problem with the gimmick levels as it adds variety to the game to make things more interesting, but I feel like with the boat levels with Coco and the scuba levels, the controls were wonky. The scuba diving was a bit slow where I would have the joystick all the way right and it would take Crash forever to go right and I'd die. The same goes with the boat where the steering was way too sensitive. I'd have to keep turning back for boxes and the crystal because the steering would go way left or right with a slight movement of the joystick. I did enjoy them, but they could've been improved. I very much liked the motorcycle and plane levels though as they ran very smoothly and were way more fun than they should've been. When it comes to the actual platform levels though, they were a bit inconsistent in execution and difficulty. They all ran smooth though. My problem was that it would go from a hard level to an especially easy one and then some of them would be pretty bland. I still had fun with most of them though. I also think this game has the most creativity with the worlds you go to. They introduce the time warp thing where you can go to so many different places. It's a phenomenal idea which creates scenic levels and adds more fun to it making some of them slightly less bland. I also enjoyed the plot of this game which was original and the whole Uka Uka plotline was interesting. My biggest issue is the way they set up the game. I didn't really care for the layout of the main world you're in with everything being separated like that. Crash 2's layout was great, while this felt like a step down. I think if this was slightly more organized, had smoother controls, and more exciting levels, this could've been the best because they already had a 4.5 game for me. But in the end they didn't have that which made me deduct a few points. It's a lot of fun and my second favorite of the original trilogy. I'd recommend playing these games. Time to go play the originals!

GRADE
A-

Played the remastered version not the original.
So many new gameplay mechanics and features which is always good to see. Didn't rage so much with this so that's refreshing. Not a perfect score because this game can get really gimmicking at times. There might be as many vehicle sections as there are actual platforming levels.

Great reimagining of a good platformer. Definitely the easiest of the N. Sane Trilogy... until the ending. Future Tense is absurd. Completing that level with gems and relics was harder than any level in Crash 1 or 2.

Easily the best in the trilogy. Level design is actually fair and fun; relics are actually fun to do. The added moveset in this game really makes Crash move like a maniac and I love it.

def the best crash super fun some of the best 3D platforming

The most stylish of the trilogy, and also the one with the worst gameplay, unless you like cheesy and boring powerups and tons of tedious gimmick levels

It’s still a really decent title, but I don’t think I enjoyed it quite as much as 2. It tones down the difficulty in comparison to the previous two games, and while it did make for an experience that was a lot less stressful, I also blazed through it without much of a thought. It also tries to be different from its predecessors with the vehicle levels which are… okay, but not particularly notable, and not as enjoyable as the regular platforming. I wouldn’t say they detract from the game all that much, but I don’t think they add a whole lot either. It’s great fun, but coming from Crash 1 and 2, you won't really feel like you've been tested.

this is the best 3D platformer ever. so much gameplay variety with all different types of levels, level themes and unlockable power ups. the only part of this game that feels lacking are the bosses but a lot of them are simple enough to beat and don't drag down the rest of the game

I gotta say this is definitely my favorite out of the main trilogy. The level design is an improvement, the sheer amount of movement options you have is a blast to mess around with (you can get away with some crazy skips by death tornado spinning over obstacles), and the level themes are the most creative and varied out of the main trilogy as well. Even some of the boss fights I thought were good fun. The game unfortunately is bogged down with vehicle sections that are, at best, tolerable, and at worst an absolute chore. The Jetski levels in particular control horribly and expect you to work with these controls in super strict conditions. All in all though I still consider this the best of the trilogy despite the vehicle stages. Crash 4 still owns all 3 of these games though.

The easiest of the original trilogy also has the most variety.

Feels like Naughty Dog were really on a hot streak with Warped and threw every mechanic they could think of at it. More animal levels, more secrets, more abilities, more bosses.

This game began the "we have no confidence in topping 2 so shove in all the gimmick levels you possibly can" trend that got worse in Wrath of Cortex. It feels like half of each world is gimmick while the other half is the Crash game I wanted to play.

At least the final boss is better now.

Very good remake of Crash Warped. I think everything is done incredibly well, the only thing that is keeping it on equal ground with the original PS1 version is the motorcycle and speedboat levels which have significantly worse controls. Otherwise it's pretty much perfect

More gimmicky than the first two games but surprisingly works in a lot of areas.

Too many gimmick levels. They are not bad per se but the actual platforming levels are so much better. Game had a lot of personality.

Platinum # 65

I remembered this game being my favourite in the series when I was young and that opinion has not stood the test of time for me. The gimmicky levels get annoying after a while even if they can be fun. There aren't any real standouts in the regular levels. This remake is perhaps a little too faithful in terms of control and depth perception is still pretty challenging. The boss fights are fairly enjoyable. The developers did a great job of updating the look of the game; the whole remake trilogy looks fantastic. I had a decent time with it but I'm happy to leave the game in the past.

I sense a theme with Crash games, they have potential but try to add gimmicks that are absolute dogshit

Mid

I wanted to enjoy this game, but it has a glaring problem: for every good level in this game, there is a dogshit level too. Vehicle levels are ass and not fun in the slightest. Playing through this game was so unfun that it could barely keep my interest to finish the game let alone 100% it, which I did for the first 2. Game mid

Woulda been an 8/10 if the bike levels didn’t exist

Tornei realidade o sonho de jogar Crash 3. O completei em uma noite.

Así de cortos deberían ser estos juegos. Y rotos, con bazokas y dobles saltos.

Worse than 2, but only because of the fucking motorcycle. Rest of it is fine.
