now this is the good stuff

ive never played thiis but the poster is niice :D

doesn't look nearly as nice as xx, and has a way more disposable roster

My incredible urge to fuck Baiken knows no bounds

It's a hard fighter but the sheer amount of tech and playstyle variance each character has makes losses much easier to stomach since there's always a new approach you can take

After the recent addition Rollback on PC, this is EASILY one of the best fighting games of all time. Rollback completely rekindled my love for this game and reminded me what a great time it is. With that though it brings the (negative?) bonus of really highlighting some of the issues I have with Strive that I'd previously waved off or outright ignored.

Un buen juego de peleas en general, pero con un alto nivel de entrada y un modo historia muy poco atractivo comparado con el resto que el juego tiene que ofrecer.

really good tutorial system that other series should take notes from

the half star missing is for online play. now for why this game is cummy as fuck. the music the characters the stages the graphics the art direction the music the personality the care the presentation the gameplay the mechanics the music the characters the community, did I mention the music? I heard a song from this game before ever really caring about Guilty Gear at all, which soon lead to literally an entire year of my musical life being completely consumed by this series' music, and my free time just learning lore about the series. its so fucking good man, and I can't wait for Strive.

cool game mechanically but i’m very very bad at it

I pretty much instantly fell in love with this game

Arc System Works really knows how to make a competent anime fighter, but Guilty Gear especially just has some great setplay and okizeme (for those who don't play fighters, basically setting up attacks after knocking down your opponent) as well as interesting neutral game that's very unique. Most of the characters are really fun to play, with particular setplay dynamics ranging from Venom's pool ball setups to Kum's moving ball setup to Millia's loops. Roman cancels are also still in and while they aren't perfect (YRC slowing down time is shit) they add another dimension to meter management and decisionmaking that's just incredibly deep and fun to play around with.

The music is also great, giving a huge metal power to each character with their themes and just being kickass to listen to while fighting. And even if you don't approve of the new soundtrack, you can queue up tracks of old like Guilty Gear XX's. The character designs are anime as hell and they're great as well, it is an aesthetic feat to watch even if you can't get into the base gameplay.

The only real issues are more personal, as in setplay is cool for a solid 20-30 hours and then not so cool when that's all neutral becomes at times. Also the netcode is some real trash to work with, and Danger Time is still a terrible mechanic. It's a great fighting game and I highly recommend trying it even if you're not a big fan of anime fighters. (8/10)

esse jogo é muito bom, é uma pena que o online do PC tá morto.

need more hours for indepth thoughts, but its a pretty well thought out fighting game both visually and mechanically. albeit very momentum heavy at lower levels (where im at)

Guilty Gear lore is insane and I love it. The level of effort that has gone into the story mode is insane, especially considering how segregated it is from the gameplay.

One of the greatest fighting games ever made, but the netcode is subpar.

give this game rollback arcsys you fuckers

This game is good because Jam is in it

UPDATE: It's even better with Rollback

story mode is a long shitty cutscene with maybe one 1v1 fight, rest of the game is good shit because Faust is in it.

i stopped playing for a month or two and now the only character i remember how to play is baiken help

This would be my favorite multiplayer player game if I was even a little good at it. I think what really sells it is that it's the only fighting game I've seen where defense is just as interesting as offense due to the wide variety of defensive options in the player's hand.

My Ky is kinda clean also fuck zen

only thing holding it back is a really boring roster
