please dont fuck up the third one

edit: just play this one again

Mastapiece. Really enjoy slowly moving through the entire mansion catching ghosts and there's so much replayability. Beyond the intro and a few "part 1 done" screens, they never take you out of the game. So much depth to everything, better frames to get on the gallery ghosts, higher ranks, hidden jewels, its great.

I understand how people just don't get it though, you can easily miss a whole lot of the depth to the gameplay. My favorite example of this is the hidden gold diamond in the flower you have to water 3 times.

Reminds me of a short lived game show that i liked to watch as a kid, estate of panic. The ultimate ghostbuster video game, they don't need to try anymore with the actual license . I've made it a standard to replay every year on halloween for the past 5ish years now.

Play it now. 10/10

Great, cute, and replayable, but the Boo's got a little annoying to track down and the controls can feel a little off at times. A good introduction to the survival horror genre, as weird as it is to say that.

very spooky kids game, rooms feel great to explore and theres always something lurking around. vacuum combat is somehow very fun. they throw out a ton of creative ideas in it too. i love the atmosphere the game creates

A very spooky and charming game, Luigi's House is a fun and short adventure held back by some clunky and dated controls.

The perfect example of why I love how weird with it Nintendo got during the Gamecube era.

Flawless game filled with GameCube charm. Endlessly replayable.

luigis finally made his big break through and i gotta say he pulled through. games a little on the easy side but its fun

A humorous action game that's a little difficult to learn, but once you do, is incredibly fun. It's not a long game, however.

The best Mario horror game there is, but really this is a good game to play many times.

the boo collecting is trash, the rest is kino

Definitely a pleasant surprise in nearly every aspect. Sucking up the ghosts is incredibly satisfying once you learn the timing and positioning of the process, and the atmosphere is at a level of quality that wouldn't be matched in another Mario game until Super Mario Galaxy. The mansion itself manages to feel both claustrophobic and spooky, yet vast and mysterious. Even things as simple as trying to open a locked door give off a unique sense of light-hearted eeriness. There's a few aspects of the game that lead to excessive wandering (Boo-catching), but it's much more tolerable in this game when the whole environment is a treat to take in.

The whole game is like a niche little side story in the Mario universe, constructed with a quirky approach to a still developing 3D style of gameplay. It's kinda bizarre to think of this as a launch title for the GameCube and the first game that many people connected with the console, but Luigi's Mansion just somehow fits that role perfectly.

This game has irritating controls but is otherwise pretty solid. I loved all the little details in the game, like Luigi humming the title theme or the dust on all the objects. A cute, arcade-like spin on the survival horror.

Atmospheric as hell, and just plain enjoyable. The controls can feel clunky, especially at first.

Man this was a scary game! A fun experience too!

this game was too scary for me as a kid

Legitimately great survival horror game, even if it's more funny than scary.

"It's free real estate " - King Boo

An absolute masterpiece of a halloween game, dripping with personality and charm and wrapping it all in a conveniently bite-sized package.

Only played the game this year but it's an enjoyable experience.

The vibe this game gives off is super good.

Luigi's Mansion has a steep learning curve and to this day I still feel there's a lot of room for me to improve. With that said, it's creative and fun, and I'm so glad it spawned its own series (even if I personally don't like the direction the series went in). This is a very solid and fun game, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Luigi's Mansion always stood as that oddball game in the Mario franchise to me. Of course it only just recently got some sequels but ever since I had heard of the game, I wanted to give it a shot. Overall, this is a really fun experience. The setting is confined which makes the game feel claustrophobic and scary but expansive at the same time giving a sense of mystery and exploration. However, some mechanics could use tweaking and a good portion of this game feels like it's padding out and already short experience. Collecting Boos would be fine if there was more than a vague clue as to where they are and they couldn't escape from the rooms you were in because backtracking through half the mansion to get one collectible is not that fun. The Boo collecting doesn't even amount to anything as you can complete the game without them. Some of the puzzles get confusing as you are given few clues as to what to do, which helps feed into exploration in some places and just annoys in others. The good in this game is strong, though. Addicting gameplay loop that has you coming back for more, creative character and gameplay designs and a simple story helps keep the mystery. For a short, quick Halloween title, this is so much fun, but as an extensive game or even a collectathon, it could use some expanding.

I love everything about this game, I have almost zero problems with this.
