I confess this was my first time actually playing a DMC game but as a follower of the series I knew what I was getting into and hoo boy I wasn't disappointed. That game was absolutely wonderful.
The combat was fresh and exciting between the characters,playing as V was by far my favourite,and the story itself was very interesting - though I won't spoil anything.
The levels themselves are more linear than you might expect,though there is some exploration to find secret areas,but this doesn't really subtract from the game in any meaningful way. The soundtrack is,of course,a plus in my eyes. One of my favourite aspects being how the better your rating during combat,the louder and more defined that particular character's theme becomes.
All around a near perfect game,I'll most certainly be picking it up again at some point to try other difficulties and everything else there is to offer.
